"Watch it!" Cato grumbled, managing to glare at Sara before looking at Laika.
"Dan and I are going hunting. We can't last long without food, and anyone who wants to join us is welcome too," Laika announced.
Kiear surprised herself by looking at Connor, wondering whether he would go or stay.

Connor scratched behind his ear."I dont think Id be any help..." he said.
"Sorry" Sara whispered, and without thinking, licked the part of Catos head she hit. She blushed when she realized what she did and turned her head away.

To hide the sudden feeling of awkwardness, Cato volunteered. "I'll come hunting," he said gruffly.
Kiera surprised herself further by saying nothing, marking her as one of the ones who would stay.
"Anyone else?" Laika asked, making sure.

Dan chuckled. "Wich direction then? The plains are more likely to hold bigger prey."He looked at the rest of the group."But maybe we should hunt for smaller game in the woods. I don't know how to take down a moose or caribou."

"I would suggest the more forested area, actually. The smaller game is easier to catch, and there is alot of them," Laika said.

Dan nodded"Sounds like a plan, not too fond of mooses anyway." He went over to a lone pine tree outside the cave and brushed himself against the branches.
Sara walked over to Grant and laid down beside him, resting her head on his chest.
Connor glanced at Kiera."So why did you opt to stay behind?" he asked curiously.

Kiera suddenly felt awkward. "Well, um, I don't hunt very well," she offered. She winced at how pathetic the small excuse was.
Laika passed Dan as she led the group towards the small forest. The scent of wet bark and snow filled her with sudden excitement.
