A few months later, David was running back to the pack's house in the forest, and once he got there, he let himself in. He was ready to be pounced and yelled at by the alpha of the pack.

Yusei scented David at last and he got aggravated that he didn't let him know where he was and that he worried him. Once David entered the house, Yusei fazed to his wolf form and pounced on David. He pinned David down on the ground with his teeth pressing down on David's throat in a dominating fashion. He snarled through his hold and said through a mind link to David "Why didn't you let me know where you went, David? You can't just leave without asking for my okay with it. So, explain yourself. NOW!!!!!!" He pressed down more on David's throat until he felt blood on his canines.

David whimpered and said "I'm sorry, Yusei. I didn't mean to go around the ranks. I just needed to get away from here for a while and I did. I'm sorry and I'll accept any punishment you think I need."

Yusei let go of David throat and fazed back to his human form. He held out his hand to help David get up and said "I'm not punishing you, David. Just don't do that again. I get worried when my pack separates. It feels like a challenge to my authority when pack members do that and I don't like it. So, no harm done if you are sorry and you take responsibility for your actions which you already said you do."

David fazed to his human form and said "Thank you, Yusei. If I didn't have such a great alpha then I would probably be dead right now."

Yusei smiled and said "Thank you, David." He left to his room.

Daid sighed in relief when Yusei left.

Derek had waited for Yusei to leave before he ran up and hugged David with all his might. "Good to have you back bud! So how was Canada? Did you decide what your gonna do about the girl?"

David hugged Derek back and said "Canada was good. I have finally decided that I am going to approach her and risk everything to be with her. I love her with all that I am. It is magical, Derek. I have actually found my soul mate now and I won't leave her again and I won't let her go. So, how were you when I was gone bud?"

"Well I got beat up a few times, then I got bord and took up painting lesons. But wait, ya haven't even talked to the girl yet, are you sure you wanna call her your soul mate"?

David smiled and said dreamily "I know what I'm talking about, Derek. She's my soul mate. It's a wolf thing and it's called imprinting. I'll do anything for her and I'll be anything that she needs me to be. Right now she needs a friend and I'll be that friend for her. What time and day is it, anyways?"

"Alright pal, if your really serious I'm behind ya all the way. And it's 12:34 Wednesday".

David nodded his head and asked "What month is it? I lost track due to me being in wolf and all."

"It's July".

David shook his head and sighed. He said "How am I exposed to get into contact with her? Any ideas? You're smart."

"Well you could make it fun and sniff her out, or you could make it easy and talk to her at school".

David smiled mischievously and said "Now, that's not a bad idea. I'll have fun with her for a while and then show myself to her." He looked at his friend and asked "When do you think I should sniff her out and give her visits in wolf form?"

"As soon as you want to".

David nodded his head and said "Then, I'll find her by morning." He fazed to wolf form and ran off to the school. Once he got to the school, he picked up the new girl's scent and started following it.

Katie sat alone on the swing going back and forth trying to get her mind off that boy from school.
