"That was a Rare Candy," said Ilac. "I mine in Sinnoh a lot, and sometimes I find these."

OOC: You've not heard of Sinnoh, you're a Kanto trainer.

OOC: Once again, Kenji isn't a human at all.

Kenji blinked. "Sinnoh?"

OOC: Okay, but he's a Kanto Pokémon. He's never heard of elsewhere.

BIC: Ilac was startled. "You've never heard of Sinnoh?" he asked.

OOC: Actuelly, he's a Johto Pokemon but he's not even from this world, he's from the Pokemon world.

Kenji shook his head. "Nope."

"Well, there are four regions of Pokemon that we have discovered so far. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Under Sinnoh is a vast network of tunnels with valuable jewels in the walls. I've also found a fossil once, and some rock candy. This candy levels a Pokemon up when it eats it," said Ilac.

"Yep," said Ilac. "I give it as rewards, and occasionally incentives. But there's one Pokemon I give a different kind of candy to." He pulled a case out of a pocket and pressed a button. A small cube shot out of it over the lake. A fish--but the ugliest fish ever--snapped it up. It waved a fin as there was a blue flash. Ilac pulled a device out of another pocket and scanned the Feebas. "You're getting close!" he called to it.

"That was a Feebas," said Ilac. "They only evolve by maxing out their Beauty contest stat. Pokeblocks, like the one that I shot to it, raise Contest stats like that."

OOC: They don't know what a Contest is, remember. And, isn't Eevee a Kanto Pokemon?

OOC: They're from all regions technically. And Kenji mentioned Contests earlier.

"What are contests?" asked eevee, cocking her head.

OOC: Oh yeah...

BIC: "Contests are basically the way for a Pokemon to prove itself well," said Ilac. "I really don't know how to put it...but maybe I could take you to a contest."

"Okay, Eevee," said Ilac. He turned to Kenji. "Would you like to go?" Then, his stomach growled. "Uh, let's think this over over lunch," Ilac added hastily. "Pidge!" With a whistle, the giant Pidgeot swooped down. "Take Kenji back to the house. Three candies if you beat me."

Kenji blinked and climbed on Pidge's back. "Ok, I'm ready."

"Pidge, let's go!" Ilac yelled, zipping off. The prospect of candy was exciting for Pidge, as it didn't wait for the happiness tune to soar into the air. Over the lake and over the woods, they reached the mansion five seconds ahead of Ilac. Smiling, Ilac said, "As promised!" and ejected three more of the cubes, each a different color. There were three flashes--red, green, and orange.
