Shay smiled. "But is kinda cool of being able to fly, without a plane, or hang-glider." SIlence then filled the air between them, and the flew on for seemingly endless minutes. Shay's hazel eyes locked ontoo the ground, and she saw a stream of ray smoke drifting lazily upwards. "I'm going to check it out," she announced, pointing.

Shay managed to land a few yards away from where the smoke had come from. The landing was messy, and ended up with her doing a face-plant in the dirt. Wiping off her messy jeans, she stood up.

James had a rough landing as well. When he landed he landed on his back laying down, He was all muddy. He got up to his feet and stood beside Shay.

"Let's go," Shay said softly, walking forward. The fir soon came into veiw, six kids huddled around it. "It's them,' Shay whispered softly, half in awe.
Somehow, the soft whisper was heard, and the one with sandy hair stood up, along with the one who had black hair. "Who are you?" she asked, sounding harsh. Shay crept out slowly, hazel eyes wide. She hadn't pulled her wings in, so they were in view. "I'm Shay," she said, her voice unusually soft. "This is James." After a long pause, she spoke agian.
"I'm Max. This is Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, Angel, and Total," pointing to each on in turn. THey all looked wary.

At those words, the Flock seemed to get noticably more tense. "It was called the School," Shay reminded her brother in a low voice. Max stared at them strangely, and slightly wary, as if they were freaks. Which, Shay guessed, she kind of was. "WE escaped from there too," a voice broke in. Her brown eyes looked slightly excited, as if happy to see other like her. Shay remembered her name. Nudge. "How did you guys do it?"
"We crashed through a window," Shay admitted. "Cool!" GAzzy cried, then let one rip. A noxious smell immediatly filled the air, and the Flock, along with Shay, either gagged, or clutched their noses, trying to block out the scent. A wild grin lit the face of the Gasman. SHay had wondered why his name was that, and now she knew.
