I smiled ad looked up at him, my bright eyes looking into his and then glanced down at his lips.I leaned up and felt my heart beat faster than it ever has before as I felt the sweet and soft sensation of his lips toutching mine.I moved back a little, a inch or two inbetween our lips as I smiled, what the heck was I doing?

Adrenaline coursed through me as our lips touched. My silvery eyes widened, then I relaxed. It was over to soon. She pullled back, but a placed my arm around her, and gently kissed her agian.

I let my hands run up and into his black hair, their velvety smooth feel running across my fingers.I turned over to where I was ontop of him since my back was hurting from turning so ackwardly.

Felling her weight press into me, her body heat warming my thumping heart, I smiled, for the first time in weeks. My silvery eyes lit up, and I stroked her dark hair, feeling strands pass trough my pale fingers. "Nika..." I murmured, not thinking as I said the words. "Your so beautiful."

I blushed as he called me beautiful, his beautiful eyes lit and his face formed a smile "Oh Zane, so are you." I went for another kiss, my lips interlocking withhis and my tounge skimming the tip of his.I heard a loud bang! from near us, but I was unsure exactly where, it sounded near us an dlike a-a gunshot."What was that?" I whispered as I looked up and saw andother bullet racing towards us "Run Zane!" I pushed him forward and onto his feet, knowing who is was already.Dad.

Surprised and confused, I stumbled as I ran, pulling Nika along by her hand. My grip was tight, and I looked back wildly to see her dad, waving a gun and yelling.

(Ha, I know right?)

I felt his grip on my hand and followed him "In the woods, my dad couldn't even jump a twig!" I said to him, my dad couldn't make it around in a forest if it was for his life.

I nodded, increasing my pace. The wind whipped my hair back, and dried my silvery eyes. More bangs sounded, and almost immediatly, pain exploded in my arm. The bullet had grazed the flesh, scooping out a deep trail of flesh and lodging somewheres inside. Gasping, I stumbled, but managed to stay upright. Then trees surrounded me, the forest becoming a green and brown blur as we both ran.

I felt him stumble and I gasped loudly "Zane!Your hit!" I screamed, tears flowing around my eyes, knowing it was my fault.I gripped his hand tighter as I stopped him from running and farther into the forest.Blood was pouring down his arm and my lips began to burn wildly, my brain telling me to launch myself at his arm, but resisted and covered my mouth."Ar-Are you okay?" Stupid, stupid question."You need to get to a hospital, I can call 9-1-1." I was panicing wildly, heart racing for his saftey as I pulle dout my cell phone.

I grabbed her cell phone. "Don't" I said. "I'm fine." I was pretty sure I didn;t sound fin ethough. I was panting for breath and I was a little shaky from a loss of blood.

I looked at him in misbelif "No-No, no no, your not!Your bleeding and there is a bulet in your arm!" I've never been this scared before in my life, I felt tears run down my face as I wrapped my arms around his waist tightly "I know I'm flipping out, but I just don't want you to get hurt." I said as I dug my face in his chest, soaking his shirt with my tears.

Self-consiously, I held her close with my good arm, feeling awkward without using the other. Gently, I dislodged myself and gingerly probed the tender flesh. Wincing, I managed to grasp the small bullet inbetween my fingers. Letting out a small breath of pain, I pulled it out and let it drop to the forest floor as I pressed my hand against my arm hard, trying to staunch the flow of blood that had strengthened.

As the adrenaline has stopped I felt a sharp and burning pain in my side "Wha-Oh sh***!" A bullet was lodged into my side, blood was staining my yellow tank top."I-I, how did this happen?" I felt more tears come to my eyes, but not because of the pain, teh fact that my dad had shot me, that hurt more than anything.I shakily removed my hand that was covered in my and his blood, a bullet in it that I had remved just then."I can't belive this Zane, I just can't." I said shakily, stepping back a little bit in shock.

My eyes widned as she was shot. "HOw could your dad shoot you?" he asked, horrified as he grabbed her bloodied hand.

I shook my head, how could I know?What have I done wrong in my life that caused this suffering and pain to myself.It feels like I was killing myself, losing myself, just to pray for some help."Zane, I got to go home...Before he does something to my dog, I'll see you at school." What was I saying?How could I possibaly go home while he was sitting at the door waiting for me probally.But I had no where else to go and he would do something terribale to Casper if I wasn't home, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to him."Take teh back route, my dad doesn't know that way, you know the alleys behind my house, it leads to your street." I put my hand on his arm "Be safe." I took a step back, I wanted to hug him goodbye atleast but something told me not to.I turned around and followed the old worn out trail out of the forest.
