Katie smiled at her sister, " No problem. I just can't wait to live with you again." She then grew very tired and fell asleep.

Kali's tail twitched, and she ran it across her sister's flank gently, as her way of saying a brief farewell. She would be back quickly, but for now she knew Katie was going to be fine. And after sitting by her side for so long, she was starving.

A small pan of food was soon set down for the pleading cat, and Kali gratefully ate it. It wasn;t quite what she was used to, but it tasted good enough, and it filled her belly. Once she was satisfied, she begin padding back towards her sister. SHe was releculant to leave her side, considering that Katie was injured, and sleeping.

Katie woke up and got down off the cold table and walked, more like limped over to the tiny water bowl that was set down on the floor for her by the little girl. As the cool water hit her tongue she felt releaved that she had once again tasted the water even though it wasn't the nice lake water she was used to drinking.

Kali was surprised, but happy, to seee her sister awake and seemingly rejuvinated. "Hey, Katie," she greeted warmly, a purr adding another layer to her voice. "Looks like you're feeling better." It was amazing what a good rest could do for you, she thought.

She looked up and smiled at her sister and said, "Yeah I am feeling alot better. I want to go home now actually. I miss being in the wild." She frowned but then got happy again and jumped down off the table and stretched her limbs. She walked over to the food bowl and started to eat the nasty, but bearable cat food that she wasn't used to eating.

A young nurse came in, her auburn hair braided away from her pale, heart-shaped face. Blue eyes peered curiously from behind thin blue frames, the lenses making her eyes seem a bit larger than normal. She crouched down, reached a friendly hand towards Katie.

Katie started to purr even louder and heavier. She had one scar on where she was shot, and from another place where she was shot. She wasn't proud of them, but they were there and she couldn't do anything about it. She sighed in her head and kept on purring, rubbing up against the human's skin.

The young nurse smiled, and then a loud voice called from the hallway. A serious look fell over her face, and she stood, regreting the fact she had to leave. But leave she did, heading to the OR, where a large Saint Bernard was having problems with birthing a litter.

The small cat followed the lady into the room and jumped up onto the table with the Saint Bernard. She lay down up against the humongous dog's back and started to purr helping the dog alot more.
