Biddy absent-mindedly started to doodle on the side of her notebook. She had a habit of drawing when bored. She started to sketch out a thorny vine with various flowers sprouting from it. She wasn't realy happy with how it was lookng on the loose-leaf paper, but she had notebooks full of actual, well-drawn sketches at home, still sitting in a box.

Biddy had been so into the datails of her drawing that she gasped loudly as Asher's note hit her arm. Luckily, the teacher didn't notice, but she didn't get some dirty looks from the row ahead of her. She ignored them and read the note quickly, writing back.

Thanks. I'm kind of an artist. I like to sketch things. I wouldn't say I'm good though.

Not having the best aim, Biddy just reached over and place dit on Asher's desk just before the teach looke dback at them from writing the books they would be reading throughout the year on the board.

Biddy blushed. She really didn't think much of the sketches. She just liked to draw.

Maybe I'll show them to you someday.

She tossed the note at Asher, though it just missed his desk and slide next to his shoe. Biddy blushed even deeper and looked away in embarrassment at her horrible aim.

Biddy teasingly glared at him and his perfect aim.

You've got to play same sort of sport.

She tossed it back, but it hit him in the side of the head. She had to hold in her laughter behind a hand.

Biddy shook her head at Asher's acting.

Jocks are jerks anyways. You have to be good enough to not be one.

Biddy tossed it back, and it landed on the edge of Asher's desk. Her aim was slowly getting better,

That makes more sense.
So, mind telling me who some of these people are?

Biddy sent it back and looked at all the faces that she wished weren't so unfamiliar. Knowing some of their names would help her feel less uncomfortable around them.

Biddy glanced at this Alexander that Asher was glaring at.

Something happen between you and Alexander?

She tossed the paper back to him, and glanced at the dark-haired boy again.

Alright.

Biddy didn't know what oto write back other than that. She could sense the hatred even in Asher's writing.
