As they walked, Nook caught sight of the metallic plants. "There they are!"

Just then, one of the metallic 'trees' bent down one of it's branches and scooped up Nook. "Ahhh! Help!" Nook howled.

Rue didn't have time to react before a 'branch' grabbed her to. SHe yowled in surprise, clawing at the metal surface. Her claws didn't make a scratch, they only left a trail of sparks. "Not agian," she moaned, her paws scrabbling for purchase, for leverage. SHe struggled, not wanting to be trapped again. SHe hated this os much.

Vetch dodged the branches the best he could until one finally grabbed him. He struggled to bite and claw them, but nothing worked.

"Do not be afraid!" a big voice boomed. It was coming from the trees. "We just want to know why you are here!"

The trees gripped everyone tighter. "Stop struggling!" they said. "If you stay in our forest, we will protect you, but only if you are rebelling against the Reptilians."

"Poor choice of words." The trees chuckled as they simply let go of her making her fall. Another tree caught her and said, "That's no way to treat a lady!" before gently placing Rue on the ground.
