Katie smiled, thinking what she was going to say an easy fix. "When you hunt is when you find food." she would be glad to wean them when the time came.
Tai got up, excitedly, barking and laughing. "When spring come. Gramma???" she asked, anxious.
Kai blushed, not saying anything.
Balto chuckled, beginning to break into the forest around Nome.

Cachen nodded. "I hungry now momma." he said, his little stomach growling.
"I'm not sure right now,let me thing." said Jenna, thinking. "...In a few months, not right now though." she said, licking the pup's head. "But winter is beutiful too!"
"Its ok, its just a natural part of being a dog to get skunked once in awhile." said Kodi, smiling and licking his puppies.
Tina nodded. "What do they look like?"

Katie nodded. She looked to Kodi. "Kodi, do you think it's about time to try and give them meat?"
Tai giggled hard, snuggling her Grandma.
Kai laughed and squirmed while his Father licked him.
"Kai and Lena look like wolves." Balto said "But Cachen looks just like me." he said this proudly, happy his grandson looked like him. "and Tai looks like Kodi when he was little."

Kodi looked to his mate, smiling. "Yeah, I guess it's a good time." he said.
"Meat?" asked Cachen. "You mean what you and papa eat?"
Jenna nodded, happy. "You're a cute pup too."
Tina noddeed. "Sounds really cute." she said, smiling. "They must be adorable, and really sweet, I can't wait to meet them."

Katie smiled, and licked Cachen's forehead. "Yes, little one. What me and Papa eat." she said, going off. "I need to go get it." she murmured, going through the bushes.
Tai smiled wide, happy. "You pretty, Gramma." she said, bopping Jenna's nose.
Balto smiled. "Yea, they are cute." he said, continuing to walk deeper into the woods.

Cachen nodded and walked over to Jenna, laying next to Tai and licking her ear.
Jenna nodded, giggling. "And you're a pretty pup too, you look just like your papa as a pup...only prettier cause you're a baby girl."
"Kai, I still sorry I hurt you." said Lena, still feeling bad about it.
Tina nodded. "...My mom said I looked a lot like your mate, Jenna...is that true?"

Tai laughed as her ear was licked. She began to lick Cachen's face, her tail wagging rapidly. She looked up at her Grandma after pinning her little brother down. "Girls awways prettier, right Gramma?' she asked, meaning no harm to come from the words.
Kai smiled and licked Lena's cheek. He backed away before pouncing on his little sister, tickling her little tummy.
Katie came back, smiling at her little brood through the bushes. When she emerged, a rabbit hung limply from her mouth. Her own stomach turned in knots as she thought of what she had to do. She dropped the rabbit slowly onto the ground. Katie knew rabbit meat was tender and soft, and good for little pups to eat for their first kill. She hoped it would work when she'd try to explain. "Kodi," Katie said softly, sitting down by her bloodless kill. The rabbit had tried to run, and Katie had accidentally crushed his spine. "Kodi, can you help me explain to them?' she asked.
Balto nodded vigorously. "That's why I was so suspicious, you look exactly like my mate."

"Uh...I've never actuelly had it explained to me, I was raised as a dog..." said Kodi, scratching his head. "Boris would know how to explain it, he did to dad, should I go get him or should they eat the meat while its fresh?"
Lena laughed and rolled him over before licking his face back.
Jenna nodded, smiling to her grand child. "But males are handsome, we're pretty."
Cachen giggled and rolled his sister over, licking her face repeatedly.

Katie laughed softly, licking Kodi's face softly. "Never mind then, let's get them to eat while it's still warm. It's much more tender." she said, winking. Hooking her teeth into the skin, she popped the dead rabbit open with ease, letting the scent of fresh meat reach her pups.
Kai giggled uncontrollably as his face was licked.
Tai laughed, wiggling underneath her brother. She looked at Jenna, nodding with a laugh.

Cachen smelled the fresh kill and it did peek his intrest but when he looked up and saw the blood coming from the rabbit, he froze, he staggered back and looked very sick before fainting.
"Cachen!" yelled Jenna, running over to the small pup.
Kodi ran over to the pup and looked him over, but made sure there was room for Katie, considering she and Cachen where so close.
Lena whimpered, hearing her brother's name be called out and saw he'd fainted. She let Kai up. "What wrong with Cachen?"
Tina nodded. She heard yelling. "Uh, I think somethings going on..." she said, though from the stories her mother told her, she assumed that it could've been Cachen's first reaction to blood.
OOC: Maybe the first time they actuelly hear the word Hemophobia is from Tina, since she's super intellgent.

Katie gasped, walking over the kill before leaning in to lick her son's face. "Oh, Cachen..." she murmured, nuzzling him softly. She looked to Lena. "Your brother's not feeling good." her attention drifted to Kodi. "I'll take him in the den." she said, picking Cachen up by the scruff with great care. Katie hurried herself into the den, glancing back slightly to the rest of her family. If there was something wrong with Cachen...her senses were blind to others about her.
Kai blinked, getting up and standing behind Lena. "What wrong, Papa?" he asked his Father.
Balto pricked his ears up, getting a leap start into a long run. He didn't know what the yelling was for, but both his son and grandchildren were there and most likely Jenna...he would see. He came to a skidding halt close to the little group as Katie entered the den. "Kodi." he said. "What's wrong?"

Kodi looked to his father. "He saw the kill, we're about to give them their first solid meal, and he just looked really sick and then fainted..." he said, looking very worried, he look to Kai. "I don't know."
Tina walked up, acting like she was listening. "I think he's Hemophobic." she said.
Lena blinked looking from Tina to Jenna rapidly in confusion. "Why there two grandmas?"
Jenna was the most suprised by Tina's appearenced, and could only stare.
Cachen groaned as he woke up, but still looked really sick. He gagged. "I no feel good momma...I feel really bad." he said, clearly sick, almost green in the face.

Balto nodded, looking back to the den. "Just leave Katie be with him. It probably scared her." he said, having spoken to Katie numerous times. He smiled at his mate's face. "Jenna, this is Tina. I found her underneath all the snow."
Kai whimpered, but then looked to Tina. "He mo'-?" he tried to say the word, but could not wrap his head around it.
OOC: Now that Tina's in the storyline, I think it does make more sense to have her tell them.
Tai crawled over, cuddling her Father. She was scared.
Katie wasted no time in comforting and babying her pup. She licked him softly. "I know baby..." she murmured, at a complete loss. She looked terrified. "What can I do to make you feel better, baby?"

Cachen whined. "The red stuff on the rabbit...I...I just so scared when I see it...I...I don't know why...It just make me so scared and feel...icky." he said, tears in his eyes as he gagged again.
Kodi nodded. "Glad to meet you Tina...what did you say about Cachen?"
"Hemophobia." said Tina, saying it slowly so Kai could hear it. "Its an irrational and terrible fear of blood." she said. "He can't help it, was probably born with it." she said. "He may not always have this as bad but he'll always have a bad reaction to seeing blood, particularally tasting it." she said. "You'll have to get the blood off the meat if you want him to be able to eat it."
"How we do that?" asked Lena, wanting to help her little brother.
Jenna was still in shock.

Katie shushed Cachen softly, wrapping herself around him. "Hush now, little one..." she said, tears dripping down her face. "I'm so sorry, baby...if I had known..." she said, licking him gently.
Kai tilted his head, very confused.
Balto smiled, trying not to laugh. "Jenna?' he said, licking her cheek soft and slow.
