Margesie still wasn't used to the cold air and foul stench of her 'new home'. She didn't have any parents, so she was put in this awful place. Well, she did need a few friends in this place. There were a few other kids around her, so she figured they were new here too. She was shy around newcomers, but once she made some friends, she knew she'd act more like herself.
Luke was being shoved around by other kids who were also new. He didn't know what it was like to have never had any parents. He used to have them... before his father was killed in a motorcycle accident and his mother died of a heart attack in the same year. Luke was young when that happened too. He shook off the memories and looked straight ahead. Luke then thought, Here comes the start of a new life.

Jemimah sighed as she entered the doors where she saw many teenagers shuffling around. She soon found herself lost with in a group of people. Her parents had died in a car crash and she and her little sister Johnna had been seperated from each other as they were diffrent in age. Soon a boy slammed into Jemimah and knocked her over to the side of the flood of people. She sat there for a moment then realised the boy had left. She started to get up.

Luke just noticed that he crashed into a girl by accident. He instantly ran over to apologize. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" he said worriedly. "I'm so sorry!" It was part of him that worried like a mother, and the last thing he wanted to do was leave this girl, (Jemimah) if she got hurt in any way. As he apologized, their eyes happened to meet. He offered his hand. "I'm Luke." he said politely and with a smile.

Jake leaned against the wall, his parents had died violently when he was young, and now he was being moved into this foul place? Jake sighed and decided to go interact with the others when he saw a girl his age, sitting alone. Jake approached the girl with a warm smile and sat beside her. "Hi there, the name's Jake, but uh..you can call me Jakey if you want." He said.
Lilly looked at Jake, at first she was as shy as she had ever been, but then she suddenly no longer felt shy and she decided to speak to him. "Hi, my name is Lilly, nice to meet you Jake." She replied. She blushed slightly, she realised she had a crush on Jake.

Margesie saw two people sitting on a bench, making slight conversation. I'm gonna get some new friends sooner or later, why not start now? she thought. She took in a deep breath and strutted over to them. "Hey, mind if I join you guys?" she asked politely.

Every sound seemed to dissapper from Jemimah's ear, as if right now she had done deaf. The only sound that rang to her ears was the voice of the boy in front of her, and then she heard more of his wonderful voice before she had the chance to reply. She listened to the only two words he spoke, but they stood out like gold to her.

"I'm Luke."

Jemimah saw his hand reach in front of her, and without thinking took the hand and got pulled up. "I'm Jemimah." she said quietly.

Luke noticed how she concentrated on his eyes, as if they were frozen there. He put a fist on his hip, then turned to be beside Jemimah. "Before we must shove off to our rooms, you wanna join me for a snack? I'm buyin'." he thought maybe this girl had some intrest in him, so he wanted to make her feel welcome and that he wa open to new friends.
