OOC: First off, I gotta say I'm sorry. I was badly depressed, and I honestly just started regularly coming back to AS. I do want ot continue, most defintiely. It should be fun ^-^ can you forgive me for being a dunderhead? =)


Katie nodded, having to massage her shoulder now. "I know. So, let's say you and I meet up tomorrow night, to see if it happens again?" she offered, a light smile on her face.

Riley nodded. "Alright," she said, after a brief moment. She hoped fervently that it wouldn't happen again. The possibility made a shiver race down her spine, similar to the feeling she had first experienced when seeing the spirits upon waking up. She could tell from Katie's face that she may not feel the same way. Despite her thoughts, she managed a small grin in return.

"We can't tell anyone about this, you know." Katie said, looking up as spirits in the distance began to dissapear in the morning's light. She held her pendant tight in her hand.

"I know," Riley replied, her voice unusually soft. "I guess I'll see you later," she said, her voice tainted with nervousness. She did want to see Katie again, but not for the reasons they had discussed.

Katie nodded, waving as Riley said goodbye. "I have to get ready for school, so I'll see you later, too."

Riley slowly trekked back home, now staring in wonder at the Spirits, and how slowly, they began to fade, only wisps and a slight mist visible.

Slowly, Katie walked to her home, and very gently climbed back through her window. She felt exhausted. Gently, she picked up the small stack of papers, research in her Father's handwriting. She stuffed it all into her backpak-she'd read it all at school...

Riley slid into bed, exhaustion making her eyelids heavy. She knew she wouldn't have long to rest, but seeing the Spirits and metting Katie was worth a night's worth of sleep for sure.

Katie sighed as she picked out clothes for the new day. She had no time to sleep. She could hear her little brother jumping on the bed as their Mother tried to get him in some clean clothes. The girl smiled and took off all of her jewelry, hanging it on the doorknob of her bathroom door, before stepping into to take her shower. % minutes in, she could hear the stove and plates being set up. 15 minutes later, she stepped out, wrapping a fluffy towel around her head and body. Katie was awake now, and looked at herself in the mirror. Today would be a good day.

Riley soon found she couldn't sleep, and her alarm would be going off in a few minutes. Sighing, she sat up, throwing on some random clothes, which happened to be jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. This was her normal attire, as she didn't really care much about fashion, and was one of the rare people who didn't care about others' opinions. Most of the time. She finished her morning routine in record time, and quickly headed to the kitchen.

"Morning, Mom," she greeted, trying to keep a yawn from her voice. She quickly grabbed a piece of toast. "I think I'll go ahead a leave now, okay? I'm going to walk to school today." Her mom was obviously surprised by this, and it showed on her pale, tired face. "Okay, sweetheart. Have a good day, don't fall asleep in math." A small smile formed on her face. Riley smiled back, though she usually never followed that last part. "Alright. Bye." She gave a small wave as she rushed outside, grabbing her bags and beginning her wlak towards school.

Katie let out a low noise of happiness as she blow dried her black hair. She happily flipped it, her bangs going over one eye. Her look was rather gothic, but she liked it. Coming out into the kitchen, she saw her little brother, his face sticky with syrup, and her Mum trying to clean him up.


"You need to drop Danny today, Kate." she said, and Danny got up, hugging his big sister lovingly. He already had his bag.


So, Katie got her bag, putting her Father's research inside, and took her young brother's hand. "Bye Mom."

"Bye Mommy!" Danny exclaimed, waving at his Mother in the doorway.

Riley hoped to see Katie on her way there, but she knew the chances of that were slim. Shouldering her heavy bag, a sigh made the loose strands of hair lying across her face flutter and twist before moving away from the stream of air. The warm air soon brought beads of sweat to her face, and her skin glistened with the moisture.
