Miri shifted her bookbag on her shoulders as the bus rolled to the las tstop. She clambered on and spotted Martha. She was supposed to keep an eye on her, apparently today was the day that her powers would become apparent. She sat down in the seat behind the Chosen One, droppinng her bags in the empty space next to her. "Hi," she said, smiling wide. "I'm Miri." she said to Martha, grinning wider. "Who are you?" she asked, as if she didn't know, which, of course, she did. Who didn't? But she had to establish a friendship, to make her job eaiser, and bacause she looked so innocent, so free and unknowing. It made her smile.

Syrock growled lightly as Wayana's car rolled away. His claws shrunk back and the shimmer died away, and his fang returned to hide under his lips. He looked away from the window and laid eyes on Martha. She was indeed very beautiful, and he wasn't surprised she was the chosen one. Not that he knew much about that anyways. His serpent-like eyes turned gaze to this other girl-Miri?-and he stared at her hard, as if his eyes were sharp as knives, boring into her very soul. Syrock let his fangs grow once again, for sometimes he just felt like looking intimidating. He let his trance dance around the bus, examining the people who were all 'special in their own way'. Some were werewolves, some were werecats (those weren't too hard to spot) some were vampires, faeries, were-rodents, aliens, and even monkey-people. But none were were-dragons. Not even snake-people. He let himself sink lower into the uncomfortable bus seat, knowing that there wasn't anyone he could really relate to. Maybe Martha will become a part-serpent. Yeah, maybe she'll be something close to himself. He hoped so.

While Syrock's mind wandered freely, he didn't notice his skin was forming into the scaly, crimson hide that he used in his dragon form. He usually had to try to keep his skin looking human, so his hands were now dragon claws, and his tail was nearly all-the-way out. His tail started out the same color as his hands, then got darker as it came to the end. The scales were spreading up his neck when he realized he could feel his back lifting off the back of the seat. His wings were coming out. He took notice and quickly as possible controlled his human skin to spread over the scales, but his tail he could only pull back in slowly. He folded his wings back in, and the rip on his jacket and back of his shirt, he noticed, were there from when he flew to the next bus stop. Syrock glanced around, hoping nobody saw this embarrassing moment as he sunk farther into the seat.

Miri threw what ever his name was, Syrock, a glance. Couldn't he keep control of himself?! "Cool it," she muttered to him. ANd she didn't like how he had stared at her, it felt likje he was looking into her, like he could see into her, like nothing was secret. She shook off the feeling and turned back to the girl,-Martha-a smile on her face again. She looked at her closely, while appearing frendly. She was really examining her, what knd of a fghter would she be? SHe looked fit enough.....she realized her smile had faltered and quickly starteed to beam again, but maybe not as wide this tiime.

Kira rolled her eyes. She notice some people noticed, she didn't care if Martha did, she would soon enough anyway. "Hey Martha, look isn't that a cute dog?" she asked, pointing out the window. She took out her Guardian Badge and held it out, it gave off a flash of light that erased the last few moments of memory from all non-creatures or rejestored Guardians. She quickly put it away before the momentary confusion. The driver was also a creature, a Yeti, she thought. She looked to Syrock, telling him to be more careful.

OOC: Thought I'd add that to give them away to wipe memories of people who see creatures, all Guardians have that.

"But be careful, we don't know what will happen." said Judas. "And what it can do."

"Of course I'm worried." said Jacob. "But I have faith our daughter will succeed, its her destiny, Chosen Ones are typically successful in what they were chosen to do."

Marthe turned in her seat to the sweet, innocent girl. She was instantly charmed by the girl's ultra-cuteness. She smiled back radiantly. "I'm Martha." she said, extending her hand. She glanced over at Syrock and her eyes widened momentarily as she saw his arm-it was no longer human, but looked like some sort of red lizard! She wasn't disgusted, but more surprised. Looking to Kira quickly, she looked out the window. she turned back to Miri after a few moments. "Well...Miri?" she asked, smiling softly once more. Her hand was still extended.

Emilia chuckled. "Ah, nuttin' tah werry about!" she tipped her hands, leaving finally and beginning to walk to her music store. As the Banshee, she had an ear for sounds. She heard everything-the birds chirping miles away, the trickling of a water fountain, and every child and bus in this early morning.

Syrock sweated bullets out of embarrassment, but he mouthed a 'Thank you' to Kira for wiping out the image from any human mind. It was difficult to keep his skin looking human. He had to concentrate on it, so he couldn't think too hard about something else or he'd be fully-dragon in no time. Kira had also shot Syrock a tough stare. If looks could kill, Syrock should be as well digging his grave. Syrock attempted to make conversation with Martha once again. "So, Martha." he began, not sure of what to say. "Where're you from?"

Annabelle leaned against the rounded wall pillar and nodded slowly to his words."martha hm? Well okay thanks for the heads up, much appreciated"She added with a smile to the friendly janitor. She had known him ever since her freshman year at this scool an had grown to be almost a brother to her. He had a full hearted laugh that couldmake the walls rumble, and this made her laugh back aswell.

She looked back to the entrance double doors, thoe sound of a bus was not that clear yet so she figurered there were some more minutes of waiting. Crossing her arms over her upper abdomen she looked back tp Jarret with a smile."Do you know what she looks like at all or no?"She wanted to make sure she knew who the chosen one was so that there wouldn't be any problems later.

Miri felt the bus roll to a stop, letting out a fianl puff of smoke. The bunches of kids clambered over eachother, trying to get out first. Miri grabbebd her bag and slung it back over her shoulder. SHe stood up, and asmiled at Martha. "COming?" she asked. "We dont want to be late,"

Kira stood up and walked towards the exit but leaned over to Syrock. "You know we do have halographic disguises now." she whispered. "Might be good to have one...oh and the janitor at the school is a Bigfoot." she whispered, then walked out.

"Hon. remember." said Jacob coming in. "This is what the Guardians have been prepared for since we formed." he said. "Defeating Judas once and for all is the most important thing right now, that mad man wants to conquer the world, and unlike the other supervillians that have tried, he could become powerful enough to succeed." he said.

Jarret handed her a picture. "She doesn't know her destiny yet, how would you prepare someone for it? The Chosen Ones before didn't know till they were ready...though they didn't have to save the world from a centuries old zombie that can absorb the powers of creatures." he said. "But they still had big shoes to fill." he said. "Humans are easily frightened normally, but once they adapt, they're good as we are at this Guardian thing." he said. "I mean at first, some even had a heart attack seeing what I really look like." he said.

Syrock heard what Kira had to say about the holographic disguises, but didn't sweat it much. All he had to do was concentrate on keeping his skin white, and nothing would go wrong. Besides, most of the people at this school had to be some form of creature. Right? He got out of his seat and hopped down the large bus steps and strutted towards the school. Wow. It looks bigger in person. he thought to himself. As he enetered through the double doors of this larger-than-life school, he remembered what Kira said about the janitor being a Bigfoot. If the employees are creatures, then at least half of the kids here are too. Syrock strolled down the halls, carrying his books when he bumped into a Senior. "Hey, watch it!" the senior scolded. He must've been on the football team, because this senior was huge. He towered over Syrock, then purposely knocked the books out of hands, then the bigger boy laughed as Syrock picked up his books. "Stupid freshman." the senior said as he turned around and began to walk away. Syrock snickered and allowed his red dragon snout appear on his face. He breathed out a tornado of fire while no one was watching, and it hit the senior right on the behind. The upper-gradesman yelped and turned around. Syrock turned his face human again. "You!" the senior screamed. "Did you just light a match on my butt?!" Syrock only looked up at him and smiled menacingly. The senior picked him up by the front of his shirt and pinned him against the wall. "I'll teach you a lesson!" the huge senior yelled in Syrock's face. Syrock coolly brought out his strong dragon tail and wrapped it around the senior's leg. He pulled, tripping the older boy, (maybe even breaking his knee, as he felt a satisfying crunch of bone) returning to the ground, then retracting his tail. Syrock then walked away cool as a cucumber, as if nothing had happened.

Martha bit her lip softly. She was deep in thought. Had...she seen Syrock's skin go scaly? Or was high school making her insane already? She looked at Miri, smiling back. "Oh, right, can't be late first day back..." she grabbed her bag, putting it on her shoulder. She followed Miri out, looking at her schedule paper. "Hmm...I have History first...You?" she read the name softly "Miss Tsulonge..."

Kay Gee stopped her moped along the rows of bikes the students rode. She smiled, fixing her long lavender hair from under the helmet. Her appearance seemed more 60s than anything. Of course, that was also one of her favorite decades.

"Morning, Kay!" said a junior boy, walking with a girl.
"Morning, sweetie," said Kay, seeming distracted. A student at her work was the Chosen one. However she smiled, and almost seemed to flutter among the students. She fixed her peace-sign earrings and hurried to get to her classroom before her students.
