Cassie groaned and rolled onto her back. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times. "W-Where am I?" she asked as she looked around. There was no windows in her room so it was quite dark except for a night light next to her bed. Her eyes then looked up at the door except it wasn't a door, it was a row of thick bars bars like she was in a prizon cell. Suddenly, an alarm went off and red flashing lights flashed in the hall ways. She sat up and stood up from the small matress she was lying on a few moments ago. She then noticed she wasn't wearing any shoes or socks, and she was wearing a strange uniform.
She walked up to the bars and looked down the hallway.
"Hello?" she called but the only thing that answered her was the loud alarm. "Hello! Someone! Anyone!" she yelled but the alarm overpowered her shouts. She then got an idea and walked to the back of the room and sighed.
"Here goes nothing!" she mumbled to herself. She then ran at the bars and slammed into them but nothing happened. She fell back and landed on her side. She rubbed her shoulder then stood up. She walked back to the bars and put her hands around them.
"Please! Someone!" she shouted louder once again. Finally, someone's coming!" she thought as she heard someone running down the hall.

Erin quickened her pace, if thats even possible. She heard shouting coming from inside and a white, sleep dazed face peering through the small window. She hid as a gaurd walked by, hearing soft shouts from the others as she ran towards the huge cesspool of evil. She ran towards the top, hearing the shouts get louder. She hurried over to a cell to see a body ram itself against the bars. The alarm was deafining, her sensitive panther ears aching from it. The red lights that flashed played with her vision as she picked the lock and the kid tumbled out. She changed back to human form in order to comunicate. The kid watched in awe as she morphed. She yelled for her to follow and led to the small window, barely enough to fit through but it was possible. There was a thin, creaking tree outside. After watching the kid crawl out, she started out herself. She was halfway out when she felt a hand grab her ankle, pulling her back in. She cried out, loud enough for the others to know what had happened.

Cassie whirled around as she heard a scream behind her. She had managed to get out of the orphanage but knew the other one didn't. Unsure of what she should do, she stood there, frosen in confusion.
I have to use my powers. I have to save the creature that saved me. But from what? Why did it yell at me to run? so many questions ran through her head before she realized that she was running back towards the buildling that looked like a brick castle.
Before she entered the hallway where she heard the scream, she looked around and saw a bar that had been broken. It had a sharp and pointy end to it and it was a perfect weapon.
She lifted it with the movement of her hand and controled it with the movement of her wrist. The bar would raise higher and higher as her arm rose higher and higher aswell. She then advanced down the hall silently. she waited for a sound, any sound that could be heard, to tell her that there was some one, or something there.

Erins hands scrabbled uselessly as she was dragged back in. She dug her fingers into the cracks in the stone and tried to pull herself away. He pulled hardedr and she instinctivly lashed out and screamed again. She pulled harder as she heard footsteps coming, trying to get away. She slowly started to tire, and felt herself being dragged back in.

"Cassie, look! Look!" Shouted Ben, "They're some already coming out!" And there were indeed strange animals exiting the orphanage, species that generally wouldn't be there. They were running.

"All right!" Cassie yowled, morphing back into a lynx.

Ben slapped his forehead. Cassie always forgot that humans generally did not run as fast as lynxes.

As Cassie ran, she noticed one of the animals...er, humans...being dragged back. She dashed to help.

alright. guys, this is whats happening. they escaped and erin heard shouts so she ran back to help and got caught and the rest of them are hidden with the white wolf who helped them

All was quite in the hall way except for the buzzing of the alarm further away in the building. Her heart then stopped as she heard a scream. She advanced deeper into the cave and her breathing heavied. She opened her mouth to speak but knew it would be to her advantage not to say a word.
She then saw a hand on the ground for two seconds before it was pulled away behind a corner. She raised the bar higher and advanced slowly. She peered around the corner and smiled. The target was in perfect view and he didn't even know she was there. She aimed the bar carfully then threw it with her mind, her arm following the motion because that was what controled it.
It hit the guard right in the chest and he fell back, hitting the florr with a crack then a thug. He was dead.
Cassie walked up to him and checked his pulse. Nothing. He was gone.
She turned back at the creature still on the ground and walked past her, without a word.

Erin went limp as she heard a sickening thud and slid back in the window. She layed sprawled on the ground as a girl walked past, not looking down. Erin hopped back up, muscles groaning from her struggle. She slowly morphed and hopped through the window, climed down the tree, and saw the others. SHe ran towards them.

Cassie saw a black panther streaking away from the building. "Wait!" She roared, pumping her large paws.
