Steele saw the sled dogs and ran along side trying to keep up,His small paws were carrying him quite fast but one sled dog kicked up snow in his face.He tumbled backwards and sat up as one dog yelled "Come Back When your taller" he lowered his head and walked off "I will be a lead dog" he muttered. Then he saw Balto "Hey weirdo" he barked trotting up.

When Jenna reached main street, she noticed sled dogs preparing for run.She really enjoyed looking at them, but didn't want to be one.She turned her head and noticed Steele with Balto. She slowly made her way to them."Hey guys. How's morning?"she smiled.

Lia ran up to Jenna. "Hey, Jenna!" She said. She saw the sled dogs running down the trail, and her mother was one of them. She dashed up and jogged next to them. "Hi Mom!" She said. Her mother looked down at her. "You are a good runner," She told her daughter. "Someday you might be a leader." Lia ran back to where the other dogs stood, filled with pride at what her mother had said.

Steele had heard Lias mother and frowned. He had his heart set on being a lead dog but his father had never praised him like that.If pressed he would say Steele was average,The pup sighed "Hi Lia" he said flatly. He looked at his paws and glared again "You haven't got the build for a lead dog" he added spitefully.

"I'm sorry you think that," Lia said, "But my mother is a champion sled dog, and so is my father. And I'm pretty sure they know best. Sorry if I offefnded you."

"My fathers been a lead dog for six years" snarled Steele "I think I know what the build for a seld dog is" he growled. He didn't mention his mother,But then again he never did.He scowled at Lia "And you don't have to be so uptight about it" he snapped, He wanted to take his anger out on something "And don't go thinking your so superior just because boh your parents are brilliant sled dogs because it doesn't make you any better" he snarled.Your the one with the superiority complex said his concience Plus they don't care about you do they? Your parents have never wanted you "Shut up" muttered Steele

"I said I was sorry, didn't I?" Lia snapped back. "And I can be a sled dog if I want, without your 'encouragement'."

"Just you wait, Steele," Lia said. "From my experience, most mushers pick the dogs with skill and good attitudes for their teams. And maybe someday I'll be leading my own team. Beating yours."

Jenna laughed as she saw how Balto tried to put his messy tuft of hair back to normal."You don't need to do that,Balto. It looks okay."she laughed and kept on looking at sled dogs.
