Luna was the last in her wolf form, besides Cassie of course. She took a few steps back and laid down in the shade of a tree while everyone else freaked out.

Garret had started phasing as he ran to Cassie. He stopped when he heard Harper and turned on him. Garret was a small bit taller than Harper, but he was stressed and angry and was nearly on his toes. He towered at least a head over Harper. "Give a despcription of the flower now!" he yelled.

Harper looked up at Garret and took a step back. "It's, uh, it's..." He looked back at Cassie and swallowed hard. "Right. It's a pale green, very pale. It's, uh, it's... In the shape of a, uhm..." He couldn't take his eyes off Cassie. She was so beutiful and now so weak. How could he let that happen to anyone? Even if he didn't know them, he should have helped. should ahve done something! "It's in a triangle shape and it usually grows in a lot of shade so, uhm, if we can find a huge tree that's usually shadowed in a particular direction then-"

"Like an oak?" Angie asked him sternly. "A tall oak? I've heard of some around here. This forest is supposed to ahve tons. And now I know what plant you mean. the Furnungous Sartus. It grows with some mushrooms, Garrett."

"Angie, Garrett, Harper, why don't you go try to find it and we'll stay with Cassie and try to help her as much as we can?" Troy suggested. He didn't want to leave hsi packmate for one second and he doubted the others did either but Angie and Harper ahd a clue atwhere it was and one of the strongest fighters needed ot make sure Harper kept his head and that he wasn't going to stab them in the back.

Garret nodded at Troy and turned his glare back at Harper. He didn't trust the new wolf for one second, but right now he was the only chance they had of saving Cassie. "Lead the way," he said to Angie. He grabbed Harper roughly by the shoulder. "And if you pull anything," Garret snarled quietly in his ear, "I'll make sure that Zac finds you alone and bleeding on his doorstep." He shoved Harper forward in the direction of the woods.

"Okay, okay, sheesh! I get the picture!" Harper rubbed his shoulder and glanced back at Garrett. "Don't worry. If anyone's, this is my fault and I want to help fix your friend." It should ahve been him. Harper knew that. He wasn't even supposed to have joined them and he felt like it was all his fault. Hey, who knew? Maybe it was.
Angie glared at the two of them. "Knock it off!" she growled. "We aren't here for ourselves or for you two to settle some stupid male dominence thing, we're here for Cassie so pull yourselves together or we'll enver get back to her in time! If you two don't hsow each other alittle peace and respect, I swear, I wil bite you both." She turned away in a huff and looked at teh ground by trees, hoping she could spot teh plant soon but it was Harper who shouted, "Look, that's it!"

Garret opened his mouth to say something to Angie, but Harper spoke out at that exact time. He looked down at the small cluster of triangle shaped plants that looked no more than common weeds. "Are you sure these are it?" His question directed more towards Angie. He shrugged, not waiting for an answer before grabbing a hand full and ripping them up with their roots. "Will this be enough?" he asked.

Harper grabbed a couple handfuls. "Yeah, Im sure. Now, come on. If we dont get back fast..." He didnt have to finish. they all knew what would happen.
Angie grabbed a few leaves as well and looked up. "Let's go." She started back to camp and waved them. "Guys! We got it!" She knelt by cassie and set teh leaves down.

Garret hured over to sit next to Angie. He set down the plants and just looked at Cassie, he had no idea what to do now.
Luna trotted over, the only one still in her wolf form. She looked at the group and asked, "Now what?"

Harper ran his dirty hand through his hair as he slowly set the plant down. "Well... I uh..."

"Hurry up and speak up!" Sarah snapped. "We don't have all day, do we?"

"I think she needs to chew it," Harper said slowly.

Garret nodded at those directions, quickly picking the plants back up and setting them inside Cassie's jaw. "Come on, Cass. Just chew these up, please," he whispered as he felt her weak jaw chew and swallow the plants. Nothing seemed to change, though. She just laid on the ground, but no longer looked like she was in as much pain as before. "Is that all?" Garret asked no one in particular.

"Looks like it," Luna said, padding back over to her spot beside the tree. She laid back down in it's shade, staring at the spot where the wolves had just come from. At the first sign of Zac catching up to them, she would be out of there in a second.

Cassie's side started to heal itself a few moments later, and as the skin seamed itself back together, Cassie became more alert to her surrounding. She slowly morphed back into her human form and sat up groggily. She held a hand to her head, feeling a dull ache there. Her other hand reached for her side, which was completely healed now. Confused about how she had been bleeding to death on the ground to now feeling as good as knew, she stared around at her pack. "What happened?" she asked with a faint voice.

Relief flooded through Troy. "You got shot," he said gently, smiling softly at her. She was alive. She was breathing still. She was going to survive. He looked up at Harper gratefully. He may not like this guy or trust him, but he earned the benefit of the doubt. He closed his eyes and let out a slow breath of relief, feeling his heartbeat slowing to normal pace.

Sarah felt herself begin to grin a little bit. "You're okay, Cassie!" She felt herself give a little laugh. "You're going to be okay!" She looked at the others then looked up at Harper. "Thank you." She jumped to her feet and hugged him. "Thank you." She couldn't remember the last time she acted like this but the way Sarah saw it, she owed this werewolf her life. He saved one of her closest friends and she wouldn't ignore that. "If there's anything I can do for you, just let me know," she said quietly.

Harper slowly hugged her back, a little bit unsure of what just happened. He didn't even know her name but here she was, hugging him and thanking him. "I just... I just did what anyone else would have done... I couldn't let her die, right?" He felt her arms tighten around him and, for the first time since he became part of the ring, he felt himself feeling like he might be able to start a new life. He felt like things were really going to be okay.

Garret padded Harper on the shoulder in a brotherly gesture, the first time he had shown any sort of kindness towards the new werewolf. "Yes, you're right. You did the right thing, but I still think you deserve a gracious thanks for helping us instead of running." He gave Harper a firm smile before walking over to Troy and Cassie, helping her back to her feet. She was a lot steadier now and seemed perfectly healed.

Luna stood up from her position in the shade, quickly turning into her human form as well since that seemed to be the trend now. "If you guys are all done being all cuddly over there, I suggest we get outta here. Zac can't be far behind." As if by fate, the faint rustling of leaves and whispers of curses as a human moved through the dense woods. By the metlic sound of a rifle being re-loaded, it was obviously Zac.

"Yes, yes, Luna's right," Cassie said, her strength coming back to her voice as well. She stumbled a bit as she stepped forward, but quickly regained her footing. "We need to leave. I'm fine. So lets hurry." She started to move deeper into the forest, become more and more stable as she moved.

Angie moved quickly. She was thrilled Cassie was all right and felt a thousand times better. However, she knew that this still wasn't going to be easy by any means. She looked at Cassie again, noticing that she was seeming much more stable. Relieved, she looked back ahead and began to move faster.

Troy refused to leave Cassie's side. He watched Sarah join Angie and nodded to himself. As long as Sarah stayed ahead... If anyone got caught, he wanted it to be him. He wouldn't let any of his friends with him now get caught. His muscles were tense as he kept his ears open for any sign of him gaining on them. He wouldn't give this newly gained freedom up without a fight.

Cassie smiled at Troy as she noticed him sticking to her side. She was grateful that he wouldn't leave her behind in her weaked and slow state. She did worry about him getting caught by Zac while being in the back of the pack with her, but the werewolves moved much more swiftly in these woods than any human could. Even Cassie kept up a decent pace.

"I think I hear something," Garret said, hiking beside Angie and Sarah. "It sounds like a car. And people. Maybe it's a town!" He couldn't keep the excitement from him face as he trotted ahead of the others, following the scents and smells of a human town that had long been forgotten after the countless days in the fighting rings. "We can loose him for good if we can mingle with a crowd of people," he explained over his shoulder before breaking out into a full-out run.

Luna couldn't help but quicken her steps at the news of a town. She also scented humans and buildings which meant there had to be a town close by. Keeping a good distance from the others, she also run in the same direction.

Troy grinned at Cassie and started down the hill, making sure to keep next to her. A town! They couldn't have asked for anything better! Their chances had just increased an incredible amount. He was beginning to feel better and better about this escape.

Sarah ran down towards the town, Angie right behind her. She made sure to keep Garrett in her sights. If they got separated in that town, they may never find each other again. If they did, it'd be difficult. It was easier to just stay together.

Harper followed towards the town, feeling better than he had in a long, long time. These wolves certainly knew what they were doing! He slowed his pace and looked back at Troy, wanting to make sure Cassie was still doing all right. He'd just met her but he wanted her to make it. He wanted them all to make it.

As they made it into the town and into a small mass of people, Garret slowed down to wait for everyone on the outskirts of the crowd. Sarah and Angie were the first to catch -up, and Garret smiled broadly at them. "Just ask as casual as you can," he said to them but loud enough for the others to hear. "Let find a store or a restaurante or something to lay low in for a few minutes. Hopefully, the coast will be clear by then."

Luna everhead this plan even though she was at least ten feet away. She continued walking as if she didn't even know them, though, stepping right into the throng of people.

Cassie gave Harper a reassuring smile when he glanced back at her with a worried look. They three of them were very close to Garret, Angie, and Sarah, and Cassie nodded at the plan. "Sounds good to me," she said, the breathyness in her voice returning a bit at the strain of nearly running to the town. She noticed Luna moving into the crowd and asked aloud, "Where is she going?"
