"But I have a happier life now," Scout said. "And that all that matters. All's well that end's well the humans say."
Kodi pulled out the last quill. "Alright, you two are fine now."

Balto nodded. "We should probably head back to the kids and get ready to go." he said. "We've lost track of time a little bit."
Ana let out a sigh of relief and nuzzled her brother. "Thanks big brother."

"Oh, right," Scout said. "We've probably wasted so much time down here just talking."
"You're welcome," Kodi said, nuzzling both his sisters in turn.

Balto nodded and started out. "What do you think Aurora's life has been like?"

"If I remember correctly, she was more wolf than you and your borthers," Scout said. "And that's saying something since you look much like a wolf yourself. I would hope that she had found a good pack and a happy life."
"They'll probably just talking," Kodi said.
"But they've been talking," Maria complained. "Since the day we got back."
"Well, they haven't known each other since then," Kodi said. "They have years of catching up to do."

Balto nodded. "Well NAva found a good place for me." he said. "Probably did the same for her." he said, stepping into the sunlight.
"That is true." said Ana. "I know I'd like to talk if that happened to me."

"ITs ok Ana, who pulled out the quills?" asked Balto, smiling.

"Kodi, of course," Maria said with a smile.
"Can you imagine the trouble these two would get in without me?" Kodi teased.

Balto chuckled. "Lets get hooked up." he said, heading over to the sled.
Ana licked Kodi's nose. "Thanks big brother." she said. "That was nice of you." she said and went over to the sled.

"I know," Kodi teased, "And you're welcome." He walked over to the sled.
"Are we gonna help you guys pull the sled?" Maria asked her father.
Scout looked at the sled. "Been a long time since I've pulled on of these."

"We don't have two more harnesses." said Balto. "If you want to pull, how about you take turns with Kodi?"
"Sounds good to me." said Ana. She nuzzled her father, then her grandfather. "I love you both."

"Alright," Maria said. "And we'll run along the sled until then."
"I love you too," Scout said to Ana.
