Yes, we can change Cryptids, and MEgalodon does count as a Cryptid. A common theory on this is MEgalodon went into the deep trenches to survive during the Ice Age and fed in the deep water envirnment, which has a very large echosystem, most of which we still don't know. Some people think below the Philopine Plate is an underwater ocean that's basically a 'ocean that time forgot' where prehistoric marine life still live, with there being air pockets possible to suport air breathers. Yeah, that's true, But it doesn't tend to happen with eagle nests while the eagles are still alive, so odds are if a Thunderbird nest rotted the birds would be long gone anyway. And we can always talk about two cryptids at once, I think. My brother used to be big on Megalodon. Not sure if he still is, though.

But there is a diffrence, Thunderbirds migrate, Eagles live in the same place basically year round and mantain their nests, the Thunderbirds likely only stay there long enough to raise their young until they can migrate with them then leave and never use the nest again.

True, well there is the fact that feathers would probably be blown away and they'd likely clean the egg shell out of the nest like many other species do, meaning all you'd find is a really big nest that critics could say is a hoax. Once again, that's the reason a lot of theses Cryptid haven't been found yet, unless you find obvious proof, critics will go with a 'logical' explaination that in truth makes zero sense.

Basically the only way to prove one of theses animals exists is to find feathers, blood, or eggshell, all of which can be proven scientifically, or to capture a live one which I wouldn't recommend considering the size and strength of an adult and the protective parents of an infant.

Well, there was blood on the plain that was downed (to be fair, allegedly) by a thunderbird. I don't know where the wreckage is now though, or if the blood would still be testable.

They probably didn't test it, since they went for the logical explaination of a goose strike and now it would be unusable. Heck if something like this existed, the government try to cover it up to avoid panic.

While it would be possible to hoax a Thunderbird I would find it very difficult to hoax a Megalodon. That's one of the reasons I believe in it's still existence because most proof that comes out isn't gonna be easy to fake. Also, I know this isn't about the cryptids we're talking about now but I just watched the new Monster Quest where they talked about Nessie's death and one of the theories about how it got into the lake is that the lake was once connected to the ocean. Now, what was really exciting was they found a fossil clam in the lake that dated to 14,000 years ago which was when the lake could have been connected to the sea.

Both are valid points white wolf, if a Meg were to appear, it would be hard to fake a 70 foot shark and a fossil like that was good evidence.
Alright, I think we've discussed the Thunderbird rather throughly. If anything new about them comes up, don't hesitate to discuss it. Alright, let me bring up another Cryptid for discussion, the Mngwa. It is a large cat supposedly native to Africa. It is larger than a leopard or lion, has grey fur with stripes that are distinctly diffrent from a tiger, more resembling a tabby cat. It is a creature so fierce, native hunters that regularally hunt lions refuse to hunt it. The best evidence are the bodies of its victims, found brutally mauled with tuffs of grey fur in their grasp, fur that to my knowladge has never been identified.

Not to be a nit-pick but the Megalodon could get past sixty feet but that wouldn't be too common. A seventy-foot one would be highly doubtful(it's still a big fishy though).

Not a cryptid I'm in a hurry to catch, that's for sure.
