"Yes to the first two." said Aniu. "The last one depends on your life." she said. "You see I'm a spirit guide because someone needed me particuallarally, just like you need your guide and so on, if someone needs you, you'll be their guide, then go to heaven when you're finished. All dogs go to heaven."
"Hello there." said Balto, smiling, always friendly to new dogs. "Yeah, I'm Balto."

Ask him about himself, find out more about him. said Aniu to Dawne with her mind.
"Well I wouldn't call them super powers." she said to Steele. "But I can shapeshift, move unseened and rapidly, turn into a flurry of snow, and as you know, read minds." she said.

Aniu's eyes suddenly looked sad. "Its...its not all that great." she said. She passed her paw through Steele's cheek, it just passed through like it was touching air, the only thing Steele would feel is a cold chill. "I can't touch any mortal unless I absolutely need to, I can't nuzzle the ones I love, I could comfort Iron when I died or help him now, and I can't comfort my sons when they're sad, that applies to you as well." she said. "Don't envy me son, I'm only a spirit in this world, unable to do more than speak."
"Yes." said Balto. "A mate named Jenna and six pups, and an adopted father whos a goose along with two hyper active polar bears who are basically my brothers."

"When you and Balto fought, it broke my heart..." said Aniu. "I knew you were making a huge mistake and I didn't want Balto to get hurt, or you to get hurt." she said. "I wanted more than anything to step in and stop the fighting, to explain you're brothers." she said. "Steele, I saw you as a pup, I saw a good heart in you back then and Mako ruined that." she said. "I could stand watching what he'd done to you and I didn't want you to suffer the life he was trying to force on you...that's why I used the one free choice of materlizing I had to open your cage door and let you out." she said. Ask about Jenna, he loves to talk about his mate.

Aniu nodded. "I saw you had a good heart and didn't want Mako to take that away." she said. "You've still got a good heart Steele, you've just buried it inside you." she said. "I know Mako hurt you terribly, I couldn't stand watching him whip you every day and choak you." she said. "So I let you out and distracked the other dogs, remember that skunk that somehow got loose?" she said, she'd already told Steele she was a shape shifter.
"Jenna?" ased Balto. "She's doing fine...she's pregenent with another litter. We're both very excited."

Aniu nodded. "Yes, I had a good bit of fun." she said. "It was a good animal for a time." she said and turned into a skunk identical to the one Steele would remember before turning back.
Balto nodded. "Yeah, I can't wait." he said. "My children have made me very proud so far."

"You shut your heart Steele, so the things Mako did to you wouldn't hurt so bad." said Aniu. "That's why I couldn't talk to you till now, your mate opened you heart by loving you for who you really are." she said. "I can't come to someone whos heart is shut tight, that's why your spirit guide never talked to you before."
"Ones a sled dog, two are house pets, ones a police dog." said Balto. "And ones an alpha female of a wolf pack."

"Its ok Steele." said Aniu. "You've opened your heart." she said. "But Dawne isn't the only one that needs to get to know a son she doesn't really know." she said, refering to Steele and Fang.
Balto nodded. "Aleu was born more wolf than dog, no human would take her and she ended up becoming an alpha wolf."
