For a long time Dusky stood at the back of the boat watching the mainland grow ever-smaller until it completely vanished. Earlier that day he overheard the captain of the boat saying that they would be gone for about two months and would then return back to the port town where they set sail. Because of the cold air and spray(sea spray) he thought he was all alone outside until he heard Sapphire creep up on him. He saw her walk up to him with her tail wagging and a smile on her face. For Dusky there was nothing to be happy about.
Sapphire never knew anything about Dusky prior to them leaving except that there was this other girl he was always muttering about. Whatever happened to him in his past didn't matter much to Sapphire because she also was un-comfy with hers. She was getting bored with sitting in her room(the cargo area) and decided to take a walk outside. As she approached Dusky she tried to make small talk with him "how is everything?" she asked hoping for an answer that didn't come. She wasn't willing to give up that easy on him so she told him "if you ever feel like talking about it you can always talk to me" said Sapphire before retiring to her room.

Feather awoke to a crack in her den and walked out, shaking her fur to get the dirt out.Feather looked for her parents and they were no where to be found so she ran towards the forbidion zone and hunted there.The whole time she thought what her mother had aid to her "Now Feather, you are a lady and shall never go there!If you do you will be banished forever!Now go and clean yourself up for the pack meeting! Feather rolled her eyes when ever her mother called her a lady. She wasn't a lady, she was Feather and her mother never could except that so she been trying to mold her like playdoh.Feather then caught the scent of a large caribou loner that was sick but still had lots of meat on her.Feather ran towards the scent like a shadow, quiet an smooth.She saw it, it was huge but weak.Feather hid behind a rock and then when the cariou put it's ears and head down to eat she pounced on it, she grabbed it by it's neck and bit down, blood flying everywhere she brought it down and dragged it home.She howled for everyone to come and eat, for she had to share her huge catc.Feather took the first bite and then let everyone have some.
