Eagle's eyes drifted from Jack to the new the dog that called himself Balto.
He scanned Balto's gray fur and yellow eyes along with the dogs face. This was how Engle was with strangers.
Depending who you ask my name is The Storm Chaser. But if it be my birth name that you want to know it is Eagle. Please to meet you." The wolf dog answered the question put to him with the same politeness that he was shown. Storm Chaser was an old nickname from the wolves Eagle got from all the trouble he seems to found while drifting.

Balto heard it and howled back. He then ran up to the place where it came from and saw it was Shani. He said, " Hey sis. Want to howl together?" He asked.

Shani ears perked up and her tail wagged as she heard a reply, it was Balto of course and she saw him running up to her and ask her want to howl together "Ya sure!" Shani said as she let out the most beautiful howl she has ever heard, it sounded like Aniu's howl and it was strong and loud as it mixed into the wind.

Balto joined in. It also sounded like Aniu's howl but, mixed with some husky howl in it.Man this is so fun. I just wish that mom was here to see it.Just then Aniu's form appeared. Only visible to them She howled with them. They were in harmony. It sounded great!

He looked at Aniu then at himself. He looked more like his dad than his mom. He was ashamed. But, he still howled.

Shani looked at her fading mother "I have to go, sorry mother and Balto!Goodbye!" Shani said as she ran towards town and she ran into Eagle and said "Oh sorry! Are you new here? And you don't look dog to me!And I'm Shani, I'm a purebred wolf!"Shani lifted her head up high and swished her tail then remembered Jack, and how he was to her, and how she was to him and Shani couldn't run now so she swished her tail back and forth at the newcomer that might be wolf and sat down and gave a friendly smile showing her wolf teeth.

Eagle let himself smile. "I am the new Wolf-dog in town, the name is Eagle missy.” He said as he looked over the female that ran into him. Eagle forced himself to relax and sit down in forward of her. However, his old shyness around females’ kicks in and he felt himself started to blush under his fur. A lot of wolves had the same dislike for wolf-dogs that some dogs do. But this she wolf didn't seem like that type of wolf. But never that less he braced himself to move if needed. Many years had trained him not to complete lower his guard.
