"I know, Mom," Saba said. "Anyway, see ya tomorrow morning guys!" She trotted oof for home.
"I'm going too," Rose said. "Night all." She padded off too.
"Whatever," Kodi said. "But shouldn't we all be heading in, anyway. We have a big race tomorrow and I want all of you well-rested."
"Alot, you meam," May said with a smile.

"He's right, you should rest up." said Balto, heading back to his boat.
"Alright, lets go." said Dusty. "Plus we have a date." she said to Ralph.
"Us to." said Fang to May.

Occ:// Yeah. It should be the morning of when the team is getting hitched up.
Kodi sat at the head of his team. Their musher was gathering things and tieing them down onto the sled while the dogs sat in a small circle. Kodi was ver nervous. He had never beed in an actual race before, excpet for the bush plane race and that had crashed. He pawed the ground nervously.
"Aren't your feet gettin' cold, Kodi?" Kirby asked him. Kodi's front paws were buried ankle deep in the snow now.
"You ready to race?" Ralph asked Dusty.
May was panting from her nerves. "Oh! I just want to get going."
"I can't believe we're gonna be late!" Saba said to herself. She was running down the street to Rose's house. The crowd was already coming and as soon as the teas were ready, they'd be off. She refused to miss the beginning just because her sister slept in.
Rose turned over in her dog bed. She stretched and looked out the window. She jumped up immediately. "I'm gonna be late!" She run to her doggie door. "Saba's gonna kill me!"
"Uncle Boris!" Muk said. He, Luk, and Boris were nearing the starting line. "Hurry up, Uncle Boris. We don't wanna be late!"

"I am going as fast as I can!" said Boris, afterwards Balto picked Boris up in his mouth and carried him to the starting line. "I am being wishing you'd stop doing that."
"Come on Boris, Kodi's probably a nervious wreck, I don't want to be late." said Balto and he walked up to be put at the front of the mail team. "Ready everyone?"
"As I'll ever be." said Dusty to both Balto and Ralph, the latter of whom she nuzzled.
Fang nuzzled May. "It'll be alright, we'll do fine." he said, though he wasn't in any rush to see his father.
Jenna set next to Miki. "Where are those sisters of yours?"

Kodi looked down at his snow-covered paws. He took them out and shook them off. "Just nervous I guess." He turned to his father. "Yeah, Dad. When do you think Steele and his team will be here?"
"They're probably be late," Kirby said. "Though, I woulda thought Steele of all dogs would be early."
Ralph nuzzled Dusty back. "I just hope they get here soon," he said, meaning Steele's team.
"Are you gonna be okay?" May asked. "You know, when you see him."
Saba turned the corner to Rose's street when BANG!. She hit something. She looked at the dog from ther ground. "Rose!" Saba stood up. "Come on! We're gonna be late." She prodded her sister up with her nose and rushed off.
Rose ran with Saba. "Don't worry. Dad was the best sled dog that ever lived! Some of those genes had to have been passed down to us. We'll make it there in no time."
"I can't wait fot the race to start," Mik said. Luk nodded his head.

Steele walked up as his team were being hooked up. "Well, well." he said, looking at the mail team. "If it isn't old Lobo and what do you know? A second generation mutt." he said, looking at Kodi.
Balto set calmly. "Steele, shut up." he said simply. "I've beaten you before and we'll beat you this time."
Fang snarled at Steele but managed to calm himself and look at May. "Yeah, I'll be fine."
"Yes, I'd very much be liking that." said Boris. "Now there is someone I am not liking one bit." he said, looking at Steele angerly.

Kodi glared at Steele. "I'm proud of my heritage. At least it's better than being a pure-breed glory hound."
May glanced from Steele to Fang and shook her head. "Your nothing like him. I wouldn't believe he was your dad if I didn't know you."
"Then, move those legs and hurry up!" Saba rushed into town and spotted Jenna and Miki. She sat down beside Jenna. "Did we miss anything?" she asked.
Rose slowed as they got nearer. She sat down next to Miki a few seconds after Saba. "Has Steele tried anything yet?" she asked her sister, looking at the two teams.

Steele glared at Kodi. "So you're like your father huh? Thinking you're a real dog just because you say so?" he asked mocking.
"Steele, I'm more of a dog than you'll ever be." said Balto.
Fang nodded. "I know, he is a disgrace to all dogs." said Fang.
"Not yet but I bet he will." said Jenna. "But your father won't fall for it."

"No, that's you," Kodi said.
Kirby looked at Kodi with wide-eyes. Getting into a fight with Steele right before the race wasn't the brightest idea.
"Look who's picking a fight," Ralph said to Dusty, watching Kodi, Steele, and Balto.
May nodded in a agreement. "But I still love you, no matter who your parents are." She nuzzled Fang.
"Good ol' Dad," Saba said.
"But Kodi's not as smart," Rose said. "He's gonna dig himself a hole with Steele's teeth waiting at the bottom."

Jenna sighed. "I know, Kodi is so stubborn, I don't know where he gets it." she said.
"Kodi relax, he's just trying to get to you." said Balto, knowing Steele's tricks.
Steele chuckled. "Well we'll see if the son's as dum as his father." he said turning and going back to his team but kicking snow in Kodi's face in the process.
"Kodi calm down, he just wants to get in a fight with you." said Dusty. "And get us disquilified."
Fang's eyes went wide. "You love me?" he asked, startled. "Really? I mean I love you too but I didn't expect you to say it so soon."

Kodi growled at Steele, but listened to the others advice. "Let's just get hitched up," Kodi said, walking to his spot as their musher walked toward them.
Kirby shook his head. He walked to his spot, too.
"Come on," Ralph said to Dusty. "He's fine."
May looked at Fang with wide-eyes. "I'm sorry. I just got caught up in the moment. Is it too soon? Just... just forget I said anything." May blushed beleath her fur.
"It's a wonder, alrigh," Saba said rolling her eyes.
"You and Dad are some of the most stubborn dogs I know," Rose added.

"More from Balto than me." said Jenna. "But if not for his stubborn streik he wouldn't be a hero."
Fang smiled and kissed MAy's cheek. "No, its fine, just took me off guard." he said. "I love you to." he said.

Saba nodded in agreement.
"They're getting ready to go!" Rose said excitedly.
"Thats good," May said with a sigh of relief. "Lets go hitch up."
When everyone was hitched up, Kodu glanced at Steele. He was ready to win!

Balto got ready to run. He wanted a fair race but knew Steele wasn't going to allow that.
"Well let's hope for the best shall we? Who knows what Steele has up his sleves." said Jenna.
Fang nuzzled May who he was hooked up next to.

May nuzzled Fang back. Than she concentrated. The shot gun went off, and there they went.
Kodi pulled as hard as he could, trying to stay in the small lead they had over Steele's team.
"There they go!" Rose shouted as the two teams run out of sight.
