Alex growled and made a move toward Luke.
Mist leapt at Alex and pushed him to the ground. "Leave the pup out of this," she growled in his ear.
"Hey!" Dan ran over to Mist and Alex. "Why is it so hard for you two to get along?"

Luke, though small, growled fiercely at Alex. "I don't like you." he said. To make a point, he went over, lifted his leg, and relieved himself on Alex's front leg before going back behind Mist. Jacob howled again, even closer.

That howl reminded Mist that she was running away. She growled in Alex's face. "We're not finished here." She quickly grabbed Luke by the scruff of the neck and ran off, hoping Jacob wouldn't find her so easily next time.
Dan looked after Mist. Ina n instant, she was out of sight. "Is that why they call her Mist?" he said almost to himslef.
"Here and gone before you know." Alex watched the spot she had disappeared to. That didn't go as well as I had planned, he thought. But he still needed to find out the truth. He got up as the ground, shook of his dampened leg thanks to Luke, and rushed after her.
Dan watched Alex leave. "Anyone know what happened here?" he asked anyone that was still there.

Luke relaxed and wagged his little tail. He didn't care weather or not there were other canines around, he was fine with just his momma. He nuzzled her lovingly and licked her nose, careful not to make her accdently let go of his scruf. "I love you momma."
Jacob walked up to Dan and sniffed around, he caught Mist's scent but something about her scent made her difficult to track. He turned to Dan. "Have you seen a white wolf go through here? She's wanted for a crime with a death penilty."

Mist smiled at Luke, though she wasn't sure if her could see. she didn't want to say anything in case she accidentally dropped him.
Death penalty?! Dan thought. He cleared his throat. "What did she do?" This may be the last chance for Dan to figure out what happened and he was not about to pass it up.
"No," Alex said to Dealie. He went silent when Jacob was near and quickly hid in the bushes. He watched Jacob walk into the clearing and talk to Dan.

Shayla padded ot Jacob's side. "Can't we just let her go?" she aked. "i don't think Mist would have done it!" She paused. "There is evidence though.... Oh, JAcob, she's gone now! isn't that all that matters?"

Jacob snarled at Shayla, he was a very intimadating creature. He backed her up to a tree. "Did I ask for your opinion?" he asked threatenly. "No! So keep that pretty little face shut up or I'm not afriad to mess it up some." he said, to make a point, he pinned her to the tree and suck his claws into her chest enough to draw blood then released her. "If you don't like going after that b**ch, run home to your momma, otherwise keep your trap shut." he turned to Dan. "Lets just say she took something very pracious to me and a lot of pack members."
Luke smiled, seeing her smile. He turned his head and looked at the path ahead. His ears twitched and he sniffed the air, his nose wrinkled at the sharp scent of sulfer but he smiled. "Momma, I smell a hot spring, could we go?" he asked.

Shayla turned away but stayed where she was. She was so agrivated with him! Mist had been ehr friend. but yet the evidence was overwhelming. What should she believe?

"His names Jacob," Alex said, walking out of the bushes. "And he's intent on ending an innocent dog's life." He stared at Jacob as he said all of this.
"So your Jacob," Dan said, looking between Jacob and Alex wondering if there was going to be a fight.
Mist slowed and set Luke down. She checked behind her, but didn't think Jacob was chasing. "Sure," she said to Luke with a smile. "But on;y for a short time."

Luke nodded and lead the way to the hot spring. It stank terribly from the sulfer but wolves and coyotes knew of its usefulness to wary beings. He stuck his paw in the spring, it felt good and he lowered himself in and let out a relaxed sigh. "Come on in momma."
Jacob snarled but didn't attack, hurting the alpha's son was a crime he didn't want to comit. "Your not welcome here." he said. "You weren't sent with my party."

"Who said I was with your party?" Alex asked sarcastically. "I came with my own party.'
Dan sat down to watch Jacob and Alex fight it out.
Mist lowered herself in. It did feel wonderful, but they couldnt stay long. Only a few minutes.

Shayla looked back adn forth between Alex and Jacob. "Jacob, Alex is right. I'm with him. I'm not hleping oyu kill my best friend." She padded to Alex's side. "May I join you, Alex?"
Nathan looked at Mist. "Are you Mist? the one they were all talkign aobut?" he asked.
