Granger observed with unusual interest as the 'prisoner' made her way toward him. Very interesting... He noted as Vixen started shouting at him. He kept a level glare then neither wavered nor weakened in intensity under the pressure that this Wind wolf was giving. He did recognize however that steam was rising up from the ground and made a mental note to check on that later. Then he realized that Vixen's claws were on fire. He supressed a smirk as he realized how easily he could put out a flame.

"First of all, the name is Granger. Second; You need not tell me how to run my pack," he said as two wolves formed up beside him, their body relaxed but there eyes ready to move. Not exactly fat lazy higher ups, these two are his second in command and trusted battle advisor.

"I know exactly how to handle my pack. You see it is all a game of strategy. One point applicable now: manage and utilize your resources to get the best results. Xinal here," Granger gestured to Xinal who was groggily getting up, "is not a battle wolf, he is a built for being a scout and a hunter. He has the skill of speed and agility to go about those jobs and so I use that to my advantage to keep our pack ahead of the others. He can rest after the assault group has left. The others will earn their keep by doing what they do best: fighting, or hunting. Nevertheless, I do not recognize achievements if they have been tainted in the process and you can practically call this his punishment." Granger glared back at Vixen, his eyes glinting with annoyance. "Any more questions, prisoner?"

((OOC: That was the most interesting thing I've written in any rp... I'm not sure if that actually made sense to you guys. If not then I'm sorry -_-; ))

"Yeah, I've got a few," She snarled, neck fur bristling. Nevermind those guards, she thought as she glanced at the two large wolves. No fear or regret showed on her face, only annoyance.

"First of all; The name's Vixen, and I'd like to be called by it even if I'm a prisnor here for the rest of my hole life." She lashed her tail. "Second, why the heck has this war started anyway, and why would you take in obviously innocent prisnors? That Diaku doesn't belong here with you, I don't belong here, so what's the point of having prisnors? I'm banished from my pack; they don't want me, so I can be used as nothing."

She growled at herself and looked away, realizing what she said. I'm so stupid...Her temper had finally caught up with her. She remembered that if someone was no use, they'd be better of killed, according to the Ground wolves.

Ignoring it, Vixen turned back to Granger. "We Wind wolf packs didn't fight for stupid idiotic reasons, yet we get caught up in the middle of this mess."

"Useless..." Granger suppresed a howl of laughter, "Useless?!" He glanced up glinting with twisted humor, "If you were 'useless' then I would've drowned you in mud the moment we met! I wouldn't waste my time taking a prisoner for no reason. It's a waste of time and energy better used on something else. No. You have a use to the Ground wolves. I can guage what you are capable of after seeing that," He rolled his eyes as he continued, "fiery display a few moments ago. I've heard of some Wind wolves with certain powers and so I took the risk of wasting my time to take you prisoner. Daiku on the other hand can be a useful asset in this war. The dispute of long ago can finally be settled once and for all once we harness the power of a luna wolf!"

"You Wind wolves think you're so... noble." Granger added sarcastically, "You are no better for you have lost the upper edge in your 'neutrality' and have fallen prey to the war. I told you that I utilize the resources and all opportunities that come across my path for as long they are beneficial. Having the Wind Wolf pack out of the way would allow us much greater space to roam around and mobilize our forces. That's a beneficial position to be in. That's why they're caught up in the war. Since they are in the way, I shall get rid of them. Maybe pick up some extra paws to help out and add some more strength to the pack. But that shall wait for another day. It's not the optimum time to take in new mouths to feed."

"Now tell me, why exactly were you banished?" His tail swished to signal the two wolves behind him to step back.

Xinal knew he had to get on with the hunt so he had stood up and padded off out of the camp. His head spun so much that he couldn't care less of what was going to happen to him when he went of by himself to hunt. However he couldn't just leave Vixen to fend off the alpha by herself. Xinal was tasked, sort of, to watch over the prisoner. He turned around before he reached the exit and approached Granger and Vixen.

"May I request that I bring the prisoner out to help with the hunt." Xinal muttered, feinting indifference, "Seeing as she's getting no where arguing with you, it might be more productive to have her help with the hunt." This was the only way to get on the safe side of granger with a request. Give him reasons he would want to hear. Xinal flicked his ears as he waited for a response from either of the two wolves.

((OOC: If you're wondering where I'm getting all this ideas, I'm getting them from logic of my chess playing.))

The days had started to shorten, and the nights, in turn, lengthened. Right now the sun was at its highest point it would be all day, and still a cold breeze stifled its stiffened fingers through everything; grass, which would rustle in despair, and trees, who would lose their leaves as they branches quaked; and even wolves; their coats thickening in a quick response even as the cold wind pushed its fingers against their skin. Summer sighed as she traveled back through towards the tree she had once settled down before the arrivel of Aqua , her ears against her head, held there by anger. Throuble was once again around.

Feathered wings laid out flat across the terra surface, Summer had thrown herself down towards the ground in anger yet releaf. It was finely good to know she was not the last of the Luna's but if grounds had it their way then surely soon she would. Her head brisked over the thickness of her mitts, blue orbs scanned around the landscape but nothing seemed to take that one luna pup off her mind, even though she was only few months older than him she was still a pup herself.

(time for aqua to meet the other wolves 8D)

Aquamarine(omg tis my username *gasp* XD)twisted her slender neck back to look at Summer, a smiled played her lips, she understood the wolfess, anger grew in her too. She sighed then as she lfted her weight onto her shoulders, her tenured legs gave way under her and she slipped. Instantly she felt the ground slammed against her chest, her jaw slarred into the dirt. She opened her eyes once, and felt her legs slipping. Her claws grasped the ground but to no avail. Her weight was bringing her down. She shut her eyes and readied for the blow that was coming at the stop of the heave.

Her haunches collasped onto the greener grass as she finally landed. She growled as the blow weakened her back leg but she shook it away and turned around, her ears were pointed up and forward, sternly but not in a threatning manner. She shook her jaw and licked the inside of her fleshy gums and flagged her tail. She blinked then looked dead straight at Nyx and the winged pup, Daiku. Her double toned auds closed spance and she raised her head, shoulders held her posture upright, but once agagain not in a threathning manner.

Instead of being infurriated, her tail lowered and Vixen halfway tipped her head, eyes narrowing in wonder. This 'Granger' was the smartest, most planned out wolf she'd ever seen or heard of. Somehow, everything he said made sense to her; and suprisingly, she almost wanted to join this wolf.

This was amazing, it was almost as if he'd shown her a new side to the war, cunning, battle witted. Realizing that a side of her she never wanted a part of was opening, she sighed.

Vixen shook her head the clear it, blue eyes no longer fiery. "I...I agree with Xinal." She dipped her head slightly and turned to follow Xinal, but not before she answered Granger's earlier question lowly.

"I was banished for killing the alpha." With a flick of her tail, she trotted away.

Granger eyes narrowed at vixen's reply. Killed the alpha? Hmm... I wonder... all that power. Perhaps she can be part of the frontline attack. I shall have to consider that. Granger then nodded to Xinal, "Very well. We can't have any idle paws hanging around doing nothing." He then turns and starts to talk with his second in command and battle advisor.

Xinal dipped his head in respect and turned to follow Vixen out of the camp. "Pretty bold move there." He mentioned as they left the camp boundary. "But he's one of the most cunning wolves there are here. Not exactly the guy to get into a debate with."

"I've noticed," She answered, and kept walking. The wolfess was still trying to figure out a few things.

"Are you good at hunting?" Xinal asked, his eyes starting to droop once more. He rally was getting worn out, running on a whisker thin thread of energy. "It's ok if you're not good or don't want to. I have some methods for solo hunting." He didn't want to force someone into doing things unlike Granger. "I just asked him to let you go hunting with me to get you away from him."

"I hunt," Vixen replied. She scented the air once they got far enough into the forest, and turned to continue her conversation with Xinal. "I know, I'm not stupid, just ignorant."

Flicking her tail, she followed the trail of a rabbit on light paws.

Diaku found this as his chance to get away and took off, He picked up the scent of the other Luna, and he was determined to go and find her! He wasn't srtong enough to fly long, but he knew he had to try, picking up speed he scanned the area below, not missing a single stick or stone. Eventually, he found the female, just like his nose remembered, With a happy yip he flew down to greet her, not noticing the other wolfess with her. accidently having a crash landing he slid and bumped the Female Luna in the nose with his shoulder and his ears perked seeing her.

Xinal nodded and followed her as she led them along the rabbit scent. If they were lucky they would be able to find and kill the rabbit. If not they would just have to look for another one. Just then Xinal glanced askew looking along a ridge opposite them. A buffalo stood there alone. "Talk about lucky..." He glanced at Vixen wondering if she also noticed the buffalo. "This will feed the whole pack in no time!" He whispered to himself as he drew forwards in a crouch towards the buffalo.

Vixen's eyes widened and ears pricked as she noticed the buffalo. "Whoa..." She dropped the Rabbit she'd just caught in a hole, then crouched down and crawled over to Xinal, ready to take part in the hunt.

Xinal's ear flicked forwards and backwards in anticipation of the hunt. He was thinking up a possible plan for two wolves to take down this buffalo. "He must have wandered away from his herd. No one else is here except us." Xinal moved over to the ridge where the Buffalo was.

"Alright, I can be the distraction. I'll move up into his line of sight to draw his attention to me. Can you move up to him from behind and get him?"

"Uh...sure, I can." Though Vixen was thinking of something else, she wasn't sure if she could trust him yet, and decided to go along with his plan.
