Snowheart started to cry again as she looked away from Bearsoul. "My singing is horrible," she shouted. "That was the reason why I was banished! Why can't you understand?" And with that, she bounded away, feeling just as ashamed for herself than any other part of her.

Emuku toke her rabbit and went back to the cave. She ate in silace away from the others. After she fineshed she trotted back outside and crurled up in the snow letting her dreams take her back to when she had been happy.....back to before the fire...back to her father.

Snowheart just rapidly shook her head, trying desperately not to understand. "That's not how I was raised," she silently replied. "I was taught that when you sing the best you can, others will immeadiately fall in love with you no matter what... And I strongly believed that!"

Emuku raised her head and padded down to Bearsoul and Snowheart. They had woken her up and now she was going to tell them what she thought of this hole matter. " Snowheart! Singing is not the only that a wolf can do to find love! I dont care if you cant sing and neather should you! Tell me would you rather not have a singing voice but the nolige that your family still lived? Or would you rather have a singing voice but your ENTIRE FAMILY DEAD?!?!?!?!" Emuku asked her voice edged with a snarl of not only anger but pain." You think about that, about the pain you would have without your family by your side and still have a singing voice?..or live without a voice but the fact that they still lived.... I bet that anyone in your family would rather not have a singing voice that have to live with the fact that they saw all of their family die around them!" Emuku's eye's flashed anger that shadowed a great pain that she had lived with almost her whole life. Slowly her eye's grew soft and a tear formed in her eye. " You think about that Snowheart...I know that you can not even imagine what that pain could feel like and I know you could never live with that pain." Emuku bent her head and padded away to leave Snowheart time to think. She padded all the way to the river and looked at her reflection. The single tear that had formed in her eye slowly fell off her face follewed by many more. She raised her head to the stars and whispered to them " Father...oh father." Emuku looked back at the water before she slowly got up and traveled to a near by rock that looked over the river and pointed to the sky. She climbed up and layed down over the edge looking at the star's relection in the water.

" No im not!" Emuku snarled. " Snowheart is overthere crying just because she cant sing....you see this scar on my face." Emuku asked her voice slowly growing soft and vondrible, " My family died alround me...i lived off some mice and things untel i found a new pack but..but they turned out to be jerks...they gave me this scar and now everyday it reminds me that i cant trust every wolf that comes along." Emuku whimperd. " You see this neckless i wear?..My father gave it to me..its a dragon fang and thats what my name means too, Emuku means Fang of the Dragon." She began to cry again before continueing. " He loved the storys of dragons and he fanticesed them..when i was born something came over him and thats how he gave me my name. He loved me more than anyone else in my pack...and he died right in front of my eyes.." Emuku turned away as more tears began to fall from her face.

The tears in Emuku's eyes came faster now. " A for-f-forest fire.. they burned rught in front of me their pelts giving of a scent that still lingers in my nose..and..and I could do nothing to help them!" She cryed her eyes filled with pain that had been keept in for years.

Emuku got up and ran. But she stopped at the river and looked at her relection once more. with anger building at her self she teared at the image in the water and ran into the woods. She jumped into a small pond to wash away her scent mostly and ran until she fond a tree with roots forming a small cave. She crawled into the small hole and used the snow the hide her. She drifted off into a trubbled sleep as her pelt began to blend in with the old snow and the new snow that had begon to fall.

Sure, she's still glad that her family's still alive, but what if she just can't stand being in a world where she can't find any love at all? What that the real reason why she was forced out her home? To find others that will accept her, even if she didn't have the dream voice that she wanted? She then sighed again before she slowly started walking back up the river, still trying to think it through even more carefully now.

Candita woke to find herself alone in the cave. She couldn't remember anyone ever leaving, so she walked outside to find someone. She say Emuku run past her, though Candi was too far away to stop her. Candita made her way toward the river where she saw Wilosh. "Wilosh!" she called out, trotting up to the wolf. "Where is everyone, Bearsoul and Snowheart? What happened to Emuku? She looked really upset when I saw her."
