If there were no songs with singing, but actual, like orchestral music, then mabye it would have been better if the songs are really as bad as you say they are. A lot of animated movies need to get rid of those cheesy songs that they put in so they can give a blatantly obvious message to whoever's watching. I think that movies are better when the meaning is more well hidden.

ARGH! Exactly! thank you, Swords of the Wolves!

You're welcome, Spirit_wolf12.

Really, from what I've heard, only the english and spanish versions of that song are good. (Yes, I also love the spanish version)

You liked the Spanish version? That's really hard for me to believe. I liked the English version a lot, but 'Reach For the Light' is 100 times better. I watched the Spanish version to practice my comprehension of the language, and the singer hit some really strange notes. She really didn't sound like she knew how to sing at all. I almost wanted to go back and switch it to English again. Surprisingly, though, I thought Stella's song at least sounded better in Spanish, but I didn't understand all the words. I agree that the movies would've been better without the songs, though. I think the only reason Universal decided to put songs in WQ and WoC was to be more comparable to Disney's animated movies, which all have songs, but usually Disney's are better written than the ones for the Balto movies. (at least that's what I think)

Am I the only one who love the spanish version and think it's the best one, then?
Really, as much as the french version is horrible, the spanish one has much more efforts put into it.

I need to ask both Togo and Steet this question:

In the languages of the songs that are translated from English, don't they change the words a little to fit the syllable situation, since some words take up more or less syllables in different languages, therefore making them not able to fit the tune of the song?

If this has already been answered, then let me know.

Yes of course, and it's the same for everything when you translate. A litteral (word to word) translation can only be bad, so there is no choice but to change the words, or even sometimes the meaning.

I thought it was great! It's certainly better than any of the other songs in the sequels! It's even my second favorite song from the series! (My favorite is "Reach For The Light")
