Yeah.
Have you noticed that Disney is going to the "midquels" in their recent DTVs?

Yep. False advertising, it is.
They could have at least kept the original title for the Bambi midquel (since it was on the Bambi SE), then that would have made sense.
Now for some of these our "midquels", I'm not sure on alternate titles really. Because you only have a couple of those out (Tarzan 2, Bambi 2, . . . . Fox and the Hound 2, . . . . I can't think of any more).

If they do what they did to the wonderful original Balto film, I won't be very happy... it's one of my favorite movies!! I really hope they do something good with it, instead of, "Hey let's make a sequal! Any ideas for the storyline?" Sure, we all love seeing sequels to our favorite films, but we always are dissapointed with the outcome... or nearly always.

I normally don't reply to many of these kinds of things, but I have to stand up a little bit for the Disney corporation, as hopefully a future emplyee. It is HARD trying to come up with other ideas for films, expecialy sequals. But, the deal about using the kids is, people would still complain. So, why NOT go for a different angle? Just for the sake of saying things, I'm gonna post this:
The actual plot is that Copper and Tod are still very close, until the Grand Ole Opry comes to town and the musical group of fun-loving country singer dogs shows up. Copper wanders over and hears them rehearsing and they give him a shot to do it with them. He loves his new "singing-career" so much, that he actually starts "dumping" Tod **if you will**. Tod gets a little worried and aggravated that he has lost his best friend to a group of newbies and gets his feelings hurt. The Grand Ole Opry dogs get wind of this and, yes, they do try to patch things up, which DOES go along with the original "plot" of "staying friends forever". Copper grows to realize that even though he has his other friends, he still needs Tod just as much, or if not more than Tod needs him.
Now, with that said: I just wish a couple of you who like to complain actually had to sit down for a few years in those poor people's shoes and try to come up with something Walt Disney, "the MASTER of it ALL", would approve of.... It's not an easy task. Plus, they are only allowed so much money on their budget for each film and they are only allowed to take so long. Granted, their efforts could be a little bit better, BUT with everything else that Disney has going on for itself, it's not hurting as bad as everyone thinks... and, just for the sake of my possibly becoming one of their feature animators someday **I HAVE sent in some sketches that were liked so I do have the little bit of "authority", if you will, to continue my small rant**, the animation is not "pathetic" as some of you say. It is very hard to copy someone else's old, vintage style. Each individual has their own INDEPENDENT style. Not every character is going to look the same as they did in each and every scene or film. I'm just tired of hearing everyone complain.... That is all anyone ever does is complain, and don't think the Disney corporation deserves that.
BTW, and as for the discussion on Lilo and Stitch 2, whoever stated the fact that that sequal was wonderful, if I had $500 to blow away, I would give it to you! That one rocked, b/c the ORIGINAL CREATOR OF THE FILM WAS PRESENT! Chris Sanders created the original and then, came back and wanted to be a part of coming up with its sequal.
BUT, I have said my peice.... FOR NOW! I don't want anyone to take this as a personal stab or as an offense to anyone, but I have a right to be entitled to my own opinion, too. **NOTE: This does not mean to sound as if I am trying to fuss with Juuchan or anyone else on this board! I, personally like Juuchan and the rest of you! So, please, just take what I have to say into consideration, as I have done to what you have all said...** And, I choose to support the Disney film industry, whether the rest of some of the "so-called" Disney "fans" do or not.... If somebody doesn't back them up and give them support, who will? **sighs and shakes her head, defeatedly** Whatever I post here isn't going to change anyone's mind, anyway..... **cries, depressingly**

The trailer looks awful, Disney angers me I realize that it isn't going to look the same. But that company needs new writers, badly. They have almost no originality left.
