May I suggest using squares that fit more with them..? I mean, they are very contrasting, or at lest the first two are. And then the second two match together better. Either all contrasting, or all related closely would give a better effect.

But you are right Well, have a few ways I do it. If you use PhotoFiltre, you can us the thing for straight lines.. Cant recall what its called at the moment.. But yes. Use that. Make it the size you want, at 100% opacity. (If you are putting it in a bar, like I did with mine, then keep it at black. Press down in the spot you want it once. It should leave a black square. (Now, it may take few tries to get it in the right place). Then go over, and change it from 100%, to 75% and press down how ever far away you want it to be. It will probably take a few tries to get it in the right place, too. Then change it to 50%, and then 25%. (You don't have to have four, by the way. Three work too. ;])... Then go to the select tool. Go over the whole bar. And then go up into 'Filtre' and go to 'colours', I think. And then go to 'colourize'... Pick a colour, and then click okay. (Make sure its not at 100%).... Then it will change them auto to match. ;] Thats what I did on my 'Daddy, please!' Avvy. XD...
