i think both have good draws but first one is boring

You can't compare first to second, considering the first was made 60 odd years ago and for it's time was far superior, and continued to be so for many years. However at face value Bambi II is better, and with 60 years to improve you would expect that it would, but only because of the use of computers. I love both from the view of Nostalgia and new wave Disney animation.

This is my review on amazon:

This movie is just incredible. The animation is great-the animators really captured the movement of deer and other animals perfectly; it's so graceful. The music is unbelievably beautiful. It gives me chills to hear it. The backgrounds are equally amazing. I hate the stereotype that it's "too childish". People who say that obviously have never seen it or haven't seen it in years. I've read the novel, and I like the novel better when it comes to storytelling, but the film is great, too.

i liked the second better. it was much cuter to me. like the part when thumper was like "....and he had these EYYYEES"!

In this topic on a Bambi forum, you talked about your likes and dislikes of Bambi II. I agree with everything this guy said:

Like:

1. Bruce Broughtons Score
2. The Dream Sequence
3. The Dog-Sequence and the depiction of Man (really well made, especially the reflection of light in the scope and the deer call)
4. The two Tadpoles/frogs
5. The Sequence, when Bambis dad told him, that his mother will never come back (very good and short dialogue: Brings it to the point)
6. The opening with the snow flakes
7. The sequence, where Bambi beat the dogs. (Have a lot from the original movie, even the rockslide, that was started ba Bambi)
8. NO(!!!) stupid singing and dancing of the characters!!!! biggrin.gif

Don't like:

1. The songs: To modern, did not fit the etherial mood of the original movie: Except "There is life". This song fits well.
2. The Backgrounds: Pale CG-copies of Tyrus Wong's originals. You did not see any paint brush. all was blurred and softened with Computers. Perfect... perfect and totally sterile!
3. The Animation: Often too exxaggerated gestures, to awkward movings. Almost nothing remains of the graceful movings and subtle gestures of the original movie.
4. The dialogie: Too much and often too awkward: "A prince does not woooh...hooo!" Ouch! mad.gif
5. The exxaggerated cartoon sidekicks like the porcupine: The grumpy character of the porcupine was well done, but the following scenes looks more like Road Runner or Tom & Jerry. This is more Tex Avery, not Bambi. (beside, i like Tex Avery cartoons, but in Tex Avery shows, not in a natural, realistic story like "Bambi")
6. Ronno: Ronno was "converted" from a strong competitor to a bully show off. Thats not the Ronno that fight with Bambi in the original movie.
7. Fart gags (OK, not actually a fart gag, but why was there no better way to let Flower found his "inner strenght"??)
8. Story line had nothing in common with Saltens book. It using only some minor parts of Saltens book in new configurations and situations... and why the heck did the not made the "real sequel", means "Bambis Children"?

-There is Life was a good song
-I always kinda wondered what happened while Bambi was with his dad
Dislikes:

-Too modernized
-Less realistic to the natural world
-They never shut up.
-Bambi calls the Great Price "dad". Doesn't get much more modern than that. He should've referred to him as "father"
-First Sign of Spring. Crappiest Disney song ever. It sounded like bad pop.
-Flower spraying was gross. It was basically fart humor.
-Bambi falls of that cliff. On BaltoSource, some thought he died, and my friend thought he died too. I mean, crap, people! How long has it been since you watched the first one! He was an adult later in the first one! And of course he wouldn't die, he's the main character, and if he died, it would ruin the movie!

Bambi the first part isn´t bad.Look at it (for all Bambi fans):

Both were good, but Bambi 2 is WAY better than the original, by a long shot!
