I'm buying it for the Wii when I'm able. It looks like a great game.

I've had the Wii version of Okami since the release date and I'm about 10 hours into the game.
Being that I have and played the PS2 version as well, I can say that the Wii version is the better version.

The learning curb for the controls is slightly higher than the PS2 version, mainly the brush, but when you play it more you'll get better and so much faster at using the brush (so don't anyone dare getting put down from the game because you can't make the "Blossom" brush work even after 500 tries).

The other thing you'll need to learn in controls is using the three different weapons types that are available. In battle, you swing the Wiimote (more like waggle) to have Amaterasu swing her weapon (players who have played Zelda: Twilight Princess for Wii are familiar with this style of control). Aside from steady brushwork, the major key to winning a battle is pulling off weapon combos by more swings of the Wiimote as you land attacks. The thing is is that the game won't register your swings unless you swing at the right pace for each weapon.

-The Reflectors (Amaterasu signature weapon) has about a .5 second pace.

-The Rosaries (whip weapons) has a longer pace than the Reflectors. I say about .7 to 1 second pace.

-The Glaives (sword weapons) have at least a 1 second pace if your swinging it normally. The thing about Glaives is that they have a charging ability, which is very helpful. Constantly shake the Wiimote to charge up the weapon, then stop to unleash a power filled attack. If you start shaking the Wiimote again right after you attack, Amaterasu will charge the attack in the next step of the Glaives weapon combo.

There's one last thing I want to point out. Capcom is offering up awesome artistic box covers to make up for a mistake they made of the regular box covers. And here's the best part: they're FREE!
Information on these box covers can be found HERE.

There's actually a chance that that'll happen, dispite what had happened to the original developers at Clover.
Try registering the Wii version of Okami on Capcom's registration page (you'll need the code and the web address you'll need is found on the back of the instruction booklet). When you do so, the site will bring up some questions about your experience with the game. One of those questions goes along the line of: "Would you like to see sequel to Okami? []Yes []No."

I don't know if Capcom does this with every game but this is no doubt a good sign. Obviously, this doesn't mean there is going to be a sequel 100%, but the chances of there being one in the future has gone up significantly.

Really? That's odd.
Are you talking about the PS2 version? Because that's the one I'm not seeing in stores. I've seen a ton of Wii versions out there

Well, your best bet is to order it in a local gaming store. Just order Okami to PS2 or Wii and it should arrive within an hour. It costs just about 40$ (in Norway at least).

And the game is great; I can't stop playing it =] It's worth every $.

It was released in September of 2006 for the PS2, and was ported to the Wii in April 2008.

This game has caught my interest, but I should probably rent it from Blockbuster before I decide if I want to buy it.

It's Japanese, actually. Supposed to look like a traditional Japanese painting. (:

I've played and completed this game twice. It's incredibly addictive, and SO much fun. Totally unique - there's no other game with graphics, storyline and gameplay like Okami's.

It's a fantastic game. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Oh, I thought it was Chinese because I saw a review, and they said it was Chinese.
