They are not excuses.
What you say are excuses. You've yet to give any proof or evidence.

No you didn't. You typed up something you read in the paper. You've yet to post a link or anything like that. Stop lying, Aluewolf. It doesn't get you anywhere in life.
Stereo-typing an innocent breed does not make you a good person.

Aluewolf15 wrote: I'm not lying Starsky. I knew those ppl. And those were true. Pitbulls are NOT an innocent breed. They are dangerous. But if you want to risk your life protecting a dangerous dog, then that's not my problem. Besides I am NOT the ONLY one who stereo-types Pitbulls. There are plenty of others out there, NOT just ME!!
Yes, those who believe everything they see in the headlines. A lot more people are realizing now that dogs are not toys, they need training. Any dog can be mean - any dog can be dangerous. People just think that dogs like Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Staffies and the like are more dangerous than others. They can only be dangerous when in the wrong hands with the wrong training.
Please, consider doing more research on dogs in general before accusing me.

I accuse you for good reason.
Obviously you haven't researched 'All breeds of dogs' since you were five because if you remember when a couple of members quizzed you on a couple of dog breeds, you didn't know them.
I'm not saying I do know about every breed of dog, but I do know a bit about dog behaviour. And, uh, what's that got to do with practising what I preach?

The fact that you won't accept ANYONE else's opinion.
Argument ended. I don't want this topic locked.

That's because pitbulls are probably the most vicious breed of dog you can find. Now, that doesn't mean that all of them are savages. There are plenty of pitbulls in my family that are to die for and would never hurt a fly. It's just that pitbulls come from a bloodline of killing, guarding, and fighting that can't be helped. It's an instinct. Each breed of dog was bred differently, and so, each breed has different natural instincts. Pitbulls happen to be bred to fight and kill. Balto Wolfdog, I know that you clearly are trying to stand up for them, but you have to face the truth. Pitbulls are easily provoked and can be extremely violent. Um, NO, because pit bulls are always the dogs to get blamed on. Always. There is MANY bully breeds that look JUST like pit bulls. http://www.understand-a-bull.com/Findth ... ll_v3.htmlJust take this bully breed test, and let's see how good you are. Can you find the american pit bull terrier? Alpine wrote: Maybe in your world, but whenever a dog attacks, the news here specifies what kind it is, and 80% of the time, it's a pitbull.
Uh yeah, and half of the time, their wrong. I seen many of those photos, and they look more like mutts, hounds, and not one bit of pit bull.
- - - - - - - - -
Aleuwolf, clear enough you hardly know anything about dogs, for one your calling a PIT BULL dangerous and your making them sound like blood-hungry dogs, which their not. There WAS pit bulls that killed, but that goes for all the dogs. Half the time, it's NOT a pit bull.
Also clear you hardly did ANY research. I did my research, talked to dog experts - pit bull breeders, pit bull owners, pit bull experts and way more, and I am not typing lies, but the truth, facts.
All dogs can be dangerous, even BALTO. Yes, even LASSIE, Rin tin tin.
So, your going to believe all those "pit bull" attacks, even though half the time they look like lab x hounds, or just mutts, period.
I would rather keep my eye on the labs, goldens, because of their poor over-breeding, inbreeding, and most are kept on chains, which most chained dogs ARE most the time, aggressive. Also unfixed, too.
Oh, and I can easily face the truth, because the truth is pit bulls aren't dangerous. NO BREED is dangerous. If your going to say a whole breed is dangerous, simply because of a few dog attacks, then you would better include labs - goldens.. Or, no, all the breeds. Because, really, all dogs CAN and may attack, depending on how their trained - their past... ect

Aluewolf Um I told YOU that the website you posted did NOT state why the animal attacked and you in turn tell me -
"Canuck3- I can read. Unlike you who just scims the paper. FYI it also didn't say there was a reason for why it attacked the child. So practice what you preach. Obviously you can't read either"
Yes you are right, the article DIN'T say why it attached her - JUST LIKE I TOLD YOU!!!!!
"Practice what you preach" Um, I don't think you know what this statement means...
It's great that's you've been researching since you were 5 (judgeing from your posts only a few years ago) but OBVIOUSLY you don't know much about the issue. Just because something is in the paper doesn't make it true - there are TONS of dogs that kill but only pitbulls are in the paper because it gets a reaction like yours.
I suppose now you'll say 'well that's my opinion so there' cross your arms, stomp your foot and slam your bedroom door...

ok I didn't want to post on this topic because I new it would cause flames but I suppose I cant help it so here goes... quite frankly Aluewolf15 your really starting to P**s me right off, before you say anything have you ever owned a pitbull? I am guessing no by the way your going on about them, so what I am going to say is DO NOT JUDGE THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE OWNED ONE!!!! Yes you hear lots of horror stories about pitties but you CANNOT really judge them unless you have owned one. And I have read a few things on 'what could a 5 year old possibly do to a pitbull' or 'A 5 year old could not harm a pitbull' well thats just plain bull**** my little brother jumped on my four year old pitbull and broke two of his rib bones (and my brother is 3 years old!). I highly doubt that the dog would attack the child for no reason I have a pitbull that was trained from a pup to be a fighting dog up untill he was 3 years old and when we rescued him and treated him with proper care he was the sweetest thing alive, I would trust him with my own life, BUT I would deffinatly not trust him around other dogs that is why he lives with my dad. I agree 100% with terrierqueen and Starsky ANY dog can attack my stepsister was living proof of that last year she was mauled to death by a german pointer wich WAS beaten by its owner and locked constantly out side. I have a lot of dogs mainly Great Danes and they would not hurt a fly. My friend had a S.T Bernard and last winter we were playing in the snow with him when he suddenly attacked my puppy Axel (dalmation print Great Dane) my friend tried to pull him away and he ripped her arm clean off. The dog was never beaten but he got temprimental around otherr male dogs, my friend said that the dog didnt mean to bite her but what she didnt know was while she was lying unconcious on the floor the dog got into a frenzy and went for her again, if my little Axel hadn't been there then she would have been dead now, instead my Axel had to have his left ear amputaited and his back right leg. I have seen alot of horrible things in my life but I think that was by far the worst. So before you Stereo type one breed think about all the other dog attacks that might not make the head lines. Oh and Aluewolf15 can you stop with the practise what you preach thing because it is really starting to get on my nerves and well before stereo typing the breed can YOU PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!!!! If you were really a dog lover then you would love ALL kinds of dogs, a dog lover is someone who loves all kinds of dogs, big or small, no matter what kind of background they have. Not just loving SOME kinds of dogs and stereo typing the others and I'm saying that to all 'supposed' dog lovers., you cannot love most kinds of dogs and exclude one and STILL be a dog lover!!!!
All Powerfull Warrior Cat
EDIT:- oh and Canuck3 great last post lol I absolutly loved it

Thank you, Balto WolfDog!
All dogs are dangerous! It's their instinct! They're descendants from wolves which are, no matter what anyone says, very dangerous animals. All dogs are dangerous! Not juts Pitt Bulls - all dogs. There was no proof whatso-whoever that the dog attacked the girl for 'no reason'. She could've slapped it, kicked it, pulled it's tail etc. etc. But she isn't alive, so the people just blame the Pitt Bull. And, as most people have said, it's the Uncle's fault for leaving the girl with the dog. The same thing would happen with any dog. The reason Pitt Bulls are so dangerous is because it's in their blood. They were used as hunting/fighting/guarding etc. etc.
I wouldn't trust a 5-year-old child with ANY dog when not under adult supervision. Neither should anyone else, if they have a brain.
Case closed. Have a good day
