Orion grimaced slightly, but looked up and then held her gaze steadily. He hoped these wolves were friends, and he would soon learn. "So, are you ready to make the journey? It's not far -" he felt his fur prickle with unease at telling them this, "-just we have to cross the ice first." He looked down on his paws; they were already standing half way out on the frozen solid river. "But it's safe, or I wouldn't be here," he added, thumping the ground with his paw to show it wouldn't break.

Okami looked at her friends then back to Orion. "I am but i think they need a bit more time" She whimpered.

"You guys ready?" he called over Okami's head.

Okami sat down. While she waited she played with orion's tail smiling.

(sorry guys... breifing and i'll get back in!"

Shadow turned back to Orion and smiled. "That would be greatly appreciated," he said to him. Then he turned to Aurora and nodded his head as a signal to start following him. Then he finally turned back to Orion and said, "Yes Orion, we are ready."

Okami barked happily and walked up besides Aurora.

Orion bowed his head, then turned and began to walk away. "It's not far, as I promised you back there." He said, "But it' sgreatly conscealed... and watch your step when we get there - it's too easy to fall off, tumble down the side and into the rocks below, or the river."

Okami looked over at Aurora and then left her with Shadow and walked next to Orion.

Orion waited for the others. Okami was ready; as she always seemed to be. Orion's ears flicked. Maybe these new wolves weren't so bad after all....

Okami walked silently next to Orion. She could feel that he was still tense. She looked straight ahead trying to show him that there was nothing to fear in them.

Orion noticed that Okami's gaze was fixed straight ahead; she wasn't looking elsewhere. Orion did the same, his eyes transfixed on the glittering snow beneath his paws. Faintly, he could see the reflection of the Aroura borealis shining down, their light glimmering in the soft snow.

Okami watched in silent amazment at the faint nothern lights. She closed her eyes then opened them again. She wanted to howl, but kept her fixed posture.

"Did you...?" Orion began, looking at Okami, "Did you see me, with the lights?" He asked. He knew that in asking this way, if she didn't know, she'd have to ask - and Orion could be sure no lies were held back. He kept walking, waiting for her reply.
