I think now (personally) that, not only does the person seriously admire the artist, but they are learning methods from them.
Like how to make muzzles, paws, and so on easier to draw and then later change it to their own style.

It's really common... But I think the above statement is true. Though, there are other reasons.
Like to be a neusince (did I spell it right :?: ) or to just be a theif. You never know...

They had to find THEMSELVES in their art. What's the point of copying, be yourself, even if you don't draw so good. In time you'll learn and find your own style, even if it's based on Balto, adgth, disney...We all have unique styles, we just have to find it. You copy from another artist, you're never gonna be as good as original. And everyone's sooner or later gonna find out, you copied.

Okay, I've been noticing how there have been a lot of complaints on copying artist's styles. Have all you artists who are being copied ever thought of why they are doing this? Now, I'm not saying that they all think like this but it's my theory...

I think that they actually are your biggest admirers. They love your art so much and wish they could draw exactly like you! So they do. They also might want to get as many faves as you! I've been in that boat before... I didn't even think that copying someone else's style was wrong. It took me a while to figure that out.

Now I'm having trouble finding a style of my own. I'm sure others have had this problem. So, how about all of you who have found your own style help those who haven't? Maybe you could post how you came to have your own style. Instead of just ranting and complaining about them. We should do something about it! Something besides banning.

But I'm definetly not saying not to ban those who just take someone else's original artwork and post it. They should know that that's wrong for sure! I'm talking about those who can't figure a style of their own or who don't know that it's wrong.

I'm just trying to help everyone on the site, so please don't take this the wrong way and make it a big argument. I just wanted to suggest a way to help everyone--the thefts and the victims.

Many people have complained that I was copying someone elses art when I really wasn't trying to. All I was trying to do was post up some of my art.
