I feel really quite sorry for you LLE! Your art is very good and I enjoy it and admire it! But at least it's good enough for people to copy!

but still, people shouldn't do it, it's wrong. And to make it worse, they completely butcher you're art. It's like having some person with a horrible voice sing a really good song(not written by them) I'm very sorry again.

And going to the Wachter der Kalte's, I too, have seen more 'creatures' popping up. I know it sparked some sorta "I'm gunna make my own creature too!" chain *makes me sick*

But all and all, if I have anymore art copied/stolen/ or just plain destroyed, I'm gunna be ticked off even more and I'm gunna take it down. FOREVER!

I agree 100% Mizzy. I've been looking into newly updated galleries whenever I see them to make sure nothing is beeing copied etc...maybe since youre drawings are more realistic, people who do more cartoon like drawings think no one would notice if they used a pose. I don't know. I've had my art stolen a couple times, so I know what it's like. I've become somewhat paranoid now, that I go around to different art sites just to check sometimes. It's really unfair, that people started copying your ideas once you started posting on the site. From rainbow fur, to style, to scars, and now to WdK's. The best thing to do now I think, is to either stop letting people create WdKs, or start reporting suspicious pics to mods.

I hope the new character I recently made up, Taiyou-gami, isn't like your WdKs, I didn't mean it if he seems like it. >.<

We art mods are doing our best to make sure artists get the recognition they deserve and that the theives get the punishment they deserve (lowest form of punishment being a good scolding) but the next time you see ANY sight of your art being stolen (this is to any artist) let me, or DrewTheWolf, or any other fanart mod know and we'll take care of it.

I AGREE 100% CAT!

To be honest, there is a very fine line between referencing a style, and copying a style and I think that the artist should really put it out there that this stuff is just NOT gonna work! For one thing, it's always very obvious that your copying someone, and really it just makes those people look dumb. Aside from that, yeah, you may get praised for the improvment, but what's the point if your mocking someone else.

My point is, if you want to draw with the best of them DO IT YOUR WAY!
After all, we get tired of seeing the same stuff anyway.

Ok, I do agree to a degree. Like I heard someone say it is not easy to come up with a drawing style. Even I am having trouble finding what my "true" drawing style is. All I see in this Rant topic is that there are people who are not all inspired like, has little to no talent, or both and are going around Balto source copying, stealing, and/ or destroying other people's work. As I heard from a TV show, they are the insecure people who thrive on other people's work so that they can hide their own worthlessness. Harsh I know. If u are a copycat and want to find a drawing style then: get out of your computer or hole on the floor, grab a small notebook and pencil, take a walk, look around, and draw what catches your eye. Even if it is a stick figure, keep on going. Let it evolve, let it grow...........What did I say? darn, well thats all I can say. Thank you.

And I also agree with the point that young artists need help with drawing and learning how to create there own style. But that still doesn't mean that they can go around stealing art from other artists.

If you are a young artist and wanting to improve in drawing and you go to use a picture you find here OR on dA, you ask for permmission first.

Another thing too. I admit that I have used screenshots from the Balto film. But the reason I did that is because I wanted to improve in drawing. But now that I have created my own style I have no need to do that anymore. So I have deleted all the pictures I used. I have seen alot of other Balto fans using Balto screenshots too. But I suppose that is a way of improving.

Exactly, but they have to realise that even if their drawings suck, they'll get more credit for them then if they steal other peoples drawings. And plus, stealing art wont make you better at drawing. Your bound to get caught..

I hate art thiefs too, even thought I don't draw, I know how it feels when other people take credit for stuff that I do and I hate it..

that's so stupid!! They don't make themselves cool, they make themselves more selfish and..... "silly"? XD What's so cool about copying: your brain doesn't wrk properly because you can't think of anything original?

Copying usernames is called Impersonating or more clearly "faking it".
And yeah It really sucks.
