One that did was Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day when it first came out, it still chokes me up a bit but not as much now.

The Scientist/Rush of Blood to the Head, both by Coldplay, also definitely get the tears going if I'm depressed.

"Story Of My Life" by Social Distortion

High school seemed like such a blur
I didn't have much interest in sports or school elections
And in class I dreamed all day
About a rock 'n' roll weekend
And the girl in the front of the room
So close yet so far
Y'know she never seemed to notice
That this silly school-boy crush wasn't just pretend

Chorus:
Life goes by so fast
You only want to do what you think is right
Close your eyes and then it's past;
(it's the) story of my life

And I went down to my old neighborhood
The faces have all changed, there's no one left to talk to
And the pool hall I loved as a kid is now a seven eleven

I went downtown to look for a job
I had no training, no experience to speak of
I looked at the holes in my jeans and turned and headed back

Chorus

Good times come and good times go
I only wish the good times would last a little longer
I think about the good times we had and why they had to end

So I sit at the edge of my bed
I strum my guitar and I sing an outlaw love song
Wonderin' bout what you're doin' now and when you're comin' back

Chorus

It's sad, because it's about growing older and that pretty much sucking. It reminds me that I'm going to be graduating from college in less than 2 months and that I'll never be in college again. Things go by really fast, try to enjoy them.

Hehe, but not as many as me, I think... I included some of the same. :nods: I love "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing." And all the other ones I quoted. ^^ The TLK2 Kovu song is "Not One of Us" I believe; love that too! :D

ETA: OH YEAH! "Blue Beyond" is Trisha Yearwood, indeed. Reba McEntire is Dixie's voice, but she didn't sing that song.
And I found out that Charlie's singing voice for the ADGTH2 song is Jesse Corti.

Some songs can make my eyes water just by listening to them, but almost every inspirational song makes my eyes water if I'm singing along. Here's some songs that can get me choked up if I sing them:

"Welcome to the Black Parade" by MCR
"Helena" by MCR
"Disenchanted" by MCR
"Cancer" by MCR
"I Don't Love You" by MCR
"This Is How I Disappear" by MCR
"Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day
"Golden" by Fall Out Boy
"The Touch" by Stan Bush
"Dare" by Stan Bush
"Heaven Can Wait" by Gamma Ray
"(I Just) Died in Your Arms" by Cutting Crew
"Suspicious Minds" by Elvis Presley
"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" by Elvis Presley
"Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver
"Nocturne" by Secret Garden
"Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd
"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen

This is kind of off-topic, but believe it or not, Cat, you are actually the reason that I got into music.

That's true of me, too. And those two songs also do it for me. :D

Songs that really touch me...

Evanescence-My Immortal:I can almost quote every word from it because i listen to it so much. Made me cry very often but also strangely made me feel good afterwards...weird.
Evanescence-Breathe no More:Doesn't make me cry but helps me feel better when I am depressed..for some strange reason a lot of "sad songs",do that to me.
Evanescence-Hello:No feel good feeling this time. I have to be in a good mood for it to not depress me.
Metallica-Ride the Lightining:When I get really mad or excited this helps me drain all that pent up energy so i won't go crazy!lol

This became my new favorite song after I heard it; I have never heard such a beautiful voice howl.gif :

"My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're one

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

There is some love that will not go away

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Concrete Angel- Martina McBride
^I heard this a LONG time ago, and even then I cried when I first heard it and saw the Music Video...so sad...

Hello-Evanescence
^Very sad song all together

My Last Breath-Evanescence
^Feels like almost someone's angel talking to someone they knew...I dunno, I'm wierd XD

For Good- Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzel (of COURSE I'd put somethin' from Wicked in here XD)
^ AMAZING SONG! It gave me completely mixed feelings, mostly happiness, but the one part that really got me was when Elphaba(Idina) sings:

"It well may be, that we will never meet again
In this lifetime, so let me say before we part:
So much of me is what I have learned from you,
You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart
And now whatever way our stories end,
I know you have rewritten mine, by being my friend"

When You're Gone-Avril Lavigne
^ Very sad, but I love it.

Wonderful songs all.
I also love "Missing" by Evanescence which I find very sad.
The first time I heard "For Good" was at my high school graduation--boy, I didn't need anything else to make me cry that day! But they sang it anyway. :P And I looooved it...

Yeah, I looked it up on a Wicked website-it's usually played at those sort of things. (They just WANT you to cry, don't they? ) Stephen Schwartz(writer of the song) interviewed his daughter, I think, and she told him about her best friend, and he made it into a song ^^
