Hmm...actually, you (and whomever else said that first) are right about this. There ARE mods locking topics just because people are ranting. Now, those recent two about homosexuals, they should have been locked, because little good could have come of them.

Shoot, if they don't want like the rant board, they don't have to visit it, right? (unless they wish to rant as well - isn't that the point of a "rant board" in the first place?)

Besides, the topics that get locked by the "hater mods" (no offense) are only going to be made again until everyone can hear what they have to say without fear of being locked or stopped by these mods. That's what a "rant board" is for, people!

Didn't someone mention that us members have a voice too instead of being nothing more than a watcher? (if they didn't, I must have heard something else . . . gah.) We have the right to do something about all of this, because we are members too, just like the mods! (***** it, we shouldn't be fighting like this, so just chill out and let us rant where we can rant already! Geez.)

And if this topic gets locked by one of these "said" mods, then they should be ashamed of themselves. Really. If they decide to go that low, they don't deserve to be mods at all. For shaaaaame.

I'll only start a new one anyway. I have more power as a member because I have other members (like you guys) behind me (and many more rantage too). We're in this together, right?

Okay. I have just about had it with this one thing:

The Kirby/Kodi/Dusty/Ralph Debate

What the heck is wrong with you people?

Honestly, I feel like I could tolerate any pairing out of these, whether it's the "slightly implied" Dusty/Ralph, the fan's straight Kodi/Dusty, or if you go a bit off the curvy trail into the depths of Kodi/Kirby. But the stupidity of the fans making these topics is downright hilariously pointless.

I mean, many people have mentioned that previous topics were made about the whole "Do you support Dusty and Kodi?" and the like have been locked due to the fact that some of the "off-the-cliff" shippers have started arguments in this sort of way: (Note that these are paraphrased from actual responses)
- "Well, Mr. Weinstein did mention (in his interview with Steet) that Ralph and Dusty are a couple."
- "You guys don't like Dusty with Ralph because he's fat, right?" (Grr.)
- "OMG, Kodi and Kirby are meant for each other!" (I'm really hating these obsessed "gay-shippers"! I have nothing against gays, just the actions of these shippers. Read one of my previous rantages and you'll understand my feelings.)

And the like . . .

Okay. If the topic asks if you think Dusty and Kodi should be together, what's the f-ing problem?

- If you're a Dusty/Kodi fan, that's fine; It's normal and a quite possible pairing. (it IS a Dusty/Kodi topic, right?)

- If you're type is the movie's obvious Dusty/Ralph, that's fine too; it is implied that the two of them might have been close, but make your own darn topic about it. Don't spam your shipping in another coupling topic. There's a button that reads "NEW TOPIC". Use it, okay?

- The same goes for you Kodi/Kirby extremists too. We've had enough of the bickering and support of your stupid shippings, so just calm it down already! That's why all of the good topics gets locked because of you guys causing all of the trouble! (And remember, the name of those topics screams "Kodi/Dusty - Anyone like it?", not "C'mon, fellow Gayshippers! Let's bash any other WoC pairing but ours!" Okay? ^__~)

Geez, this situation is about to make me go away from the site for a long time . . . so just f-ing stop it.

Is anyone else feeling this way? I know I'm not the only one, but personally any pairing is fine to me, except just recently, the whole "gay" shipping is about to really push my last buttons.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my words, but they had to be said eventually. Others have probably kept these same words hidden for a while now, and it's time to say them. (Read this carefully)--->No, I'm not saying that the "gay" pairings should be stopped - just the over-support of them is going way too far for comfort.

Seriously though...I agree (except that I can ONLY see the pairings as conceived or implied in the original stories, and NOT any of these fan-based twists).

I'm only trying to prove a point, BaltoSeppala, so thank you very much.

I believe that the main pairings that are from the original films are:
- Balto/Jenna (duh?)
- Boris/Stella

That's it. I really saw the "infamous nuzzling" from WoC, but I thought it was because Dusty and Ralph were good friends (isn't that what normal dogs do all the time? It doesn't have to signal a possible love thing - it's just a show of friendship. I mean, just because Jenna nuzzles Kodi and Balto nuzzles Aleu doesn't mean they have romantic parent-child complexes! Geez.).

It's odd what some people think nowadays.

I did. But what is the need for furthering the implications about Kodi's sexuality (and maybe Balto's too), as I fear you may be doing, by pointing that out? They were sharing an innocent, touching father-son moment. There was nothing else whatsoever to that scene. At all.

It's not a big problem, Sarafina...just please keep in mind the fact that this whole "Kodi sexual preference" thing is a VERY VERY hot-button topic among the members who are fans of the Balto cartoons...and of Kodi himself (and maybe also Kirby too).

This thing has a way of getting nasty over even the SLIGHTEST statement.

Very, very true. Geez, probably if Kodi was reading all of this crap on here, he would be able to set things straight (no pun intended, please).

And here's my problem: Why is everyone all into Kodi's sexual preference anyway?

I mean, sure, we all know his character wasn't as well-developed as Aleu's runaway persona was in WQ, but good gravy, people! What's up with wanting to make Kodi the "gay *w*h*o*r*e*" of Nome all of a sudden by turning him gay in the first place? (pardon the obvious language, but it had to be said) You know, I feel sorry for him . . . you curious fic writers using him as a test subject of a homosexual relationship!

(Then again, I know that some *jerk* is only gonna talk back, mentioning my whole Saba/Dingo incest stories being test subjects for the whole "OMG it's brother/sister love stories! Ewww!" . . . so yeah. Don't even think about it.)

But yet again, these are merely characters of fiction, brought to life with ink, pencil and people with lots of time on their hands. They aren't real, the stories couldn't really happen (the incest ones are more likely to happen than two male dogs doing it anyday). Get a f-ing grip, okay?

Well, I know I can handle it, but it's not me that I'm worried about -

It's the other members that worry me.

Mainly the really passionate "shippers" that are starting to drive me (and many other members) nuts.

Again, I enjoy any pairing really, but the mass-support of the whole "Gay-shipping" Kodi/Kirby thing is . . . as you may know, too much.

And I can easily ignore it, but some others may not. You know that, right, Drew?
