Ashling clenched her jaw. "What is that?" she whispered, standing. She backed up, biting her lip, and stared wide-eyed.

This dragon was like a cross between a Night Fury and a Red Death - All black with the same body as a Night Fury, but huge like a Red Death. It took a step and saw Ashling. It stated to lift into the air.

Ashling stared At it, eyes wide. She was frozen in fear - what could she do? This beast was massive, the kind of thing that can't be tamed...

The huge beast flew into the air and let out a huge roar. That roar could be heard from across the seas. It spotted Ashling and thought Dinner.

Ashling began back up backwards. "Hiccup?" she yelled, but immediately bit her tongue. No way he could help! This wasn't an average dragon at best, and he was seriously injured... Again. No thanks to Ashling. So she opted for a different person. She tired sharply, running as quickly as she could to another house. It turned out to be Snotlout, but she disn't pay attention to that. "How do you go about killing a massive sea dragon Nightfury about Three times the size of your house?" she asked as soon as the door opened.

Snotlout was eating lunch when Ashling ran through the door. He almost spit it all out when Ashling said, "How do you go about killing a massive sea dragon Nightfury about Three times the size of your house?" Snotlout just stared until he tiny brain comprehended all that the girl just said. "I don't know chick! Go ask Hiccup!"

Ruffnut poked her head through the doorway to the next room, her hair a ruffled mess. "What's this i hear about a giant dragon?" She asked.

"We've got one," Ashling told her, not bothering to question what she was doing there or why she was so unkempt. It was of very, very little importance. "And Hiccup's hurt. He can't be involved. Are you two going to help me get rid of this thing or not?"




While all this occurred, a guy - somewhere between fifteen and seventeen - was sulking on the other side of the island. He was tired, exiled, alone. His red hair parted over a crown, which was partially covered as the strands came down over it. He wore a sturdy grey breastplate with blue lining, a blue undershirt and matching 'sweats' of types, under that, boots - hard ones, not leather. He was lean, but muscular, with a belt that held a sheathed sword. On his back, a quiver and bow. Slowly, he stopped. He carefully removed the breastplate, the belt, the quiver and bow - he tossed all of it to the ground next to him. Slowly, he pulled the crown off. His bangs fell more heavily against his face.
He stared at the thing. This was his - and he'd never wear it proudly again. He had killed his eldest brother after a good deal of manipulation by the second-in-line - he was the second youngest of his siblings, and it was only after what had occurred he realized what was happening. His brother had used him, manipulated him and the heir to their family throne, and the result was disastrous for both, with the sixteen year old left with a bloody knife and his brother dead.
And none of it was intentional...
But it was over now. And he would go on... He let the crown fall from his hand. He couldn't look at it. He turned, falling to the ground against a tree. He closed his eyes - he was exhausted. He'd rowed his way about three miles, knowing there was an island North of his own. But he hadn't expected was what was about to happen.

He lurched forward, gasping as the sound of a roar split the air. His heart set off pounding and he found his breath shallow and quick. He didn't expect that. He grabbed his belt and quiver, taking off. Something could be seriously wrong.

(Just an introduction for a character I plan on making soon. ^^ He'll come in later.)

"Dragons... Thats like out job, isnt it?" Ruffnut asked. She grinned maliciously. "I'll go get my stuff." She ducked back into the other room.

Tuffnut poked his head into the room. "OH OH! Can I come!? Wait, I don't need to ask you!" He ducked back into the room. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Ashling opened it to see Hiccup.

Ashling groaned. "Hiccup, what are you doing here? You should be in bed!"O

Ruffnut returned to the room to see hiccup standing in the doorway, Ashling's hand still on the door knob. "Oh, Hiccup! Just the person i wanted to see!" She exclaimed, dropping her gear out of sight behind a chest. "I gotta talk to you about something!" She shot Ashling a wink.

Ashling and Snotlout left the room so Ruffnut and Hiccup could talk. "Uh, I actually came here to talk about the dragon..." Hiccup said wondering why Ruffnut would want to talk to him.

"Wonder what she wants?" Ashling grumbled. "Whatever, now's not the time! We have... a really bit problem!" She looked out the window, cringing.

(I hate to double-post, but... Guys, are you excluding me? I know you've been on, and you've posted on other threads... Including making a private rp... And I've come to be kind of sensitive about that kinda thing. It makes me feel like I'm not sufficiently good at writing, and that I killed the rp...)
