"Well..Kind of." Arthur said with a smirk. Inside the box was a necklace, a silver chain and on the end was a guitar with a british flag painted on the front, and on the back, it had engraved Love you forever.
"So..if you ever do go home, to America, you can have something to remember me by."

I snorted, hiding the biggest grin ever "Why would I ever leave? You're like my hubby now" I joked, but I knew that he was probably right. It was in my nature to run. No! I'm never going to leave again! I promised myself, loking at the ittle necklace.
"Speaking of home, maybe I should tell my parents about the engagment? I'm sure they'll be thrilled!" I beamed, wishing around in my pocket, and handing Bunny to Arthur. I looked at my phone then up at Arthur.
"You know what? I'm not calling them till' I meet your parents" I decided, stuffing the phone back in my pocket.

Arthur seemed to freeze at the mention of his parents, Bunny aswell, the small cat begining to mew sadly as Arthur stopped stroking him.
"You dont...need..to meet my parents." He said nervously.

I shook my head.
"I kinda' do, it's a big deal. Yeah, I know, my people skills are horrible. But Ill be good!" I pressed, feeling a little unhappy that he didn;t want me to meet his parents.

"Riley.." He said, before Alfred interrupted.
"Hey, Riley, Artie's right. You do NOT wanna meet his 'rents. They SUCK." He said, earning a huff from Arthur.
"Hey, now, they aren't that..bad......yeah they are.."

I puffed out my chest a little. Feeling taken aback that he'd say something like that.
"They're your parents arn't they? Come ooonnn!! Give them a chance! I'm sure they'll love me!" I groaned, sounding like little kid.

"Fine, but you asked for it.." Arthur said, picking up his phone.

An hour later...

Arthur paced anxiouslym, awaiting the arrival of his parents. A knock sounded on the door, making the house fall silent. Arthur hurried to answer it, and when he did, he immediantly stood straighter. Arthur's parents resembled him greatly; His father was tall, strawberry blonde hair, thick eyebrows and gleaming blue-green eyes. His mother was shorter, with light blonde hair, but wore Arthur's eyes. The couple walked in, looking around the house skeptically.
"Hello Arthur." His mother said, offering Arthur a small hug. The brit's father remained silent, sending multiple glares in Alfred's direction.
"You wanted to tell us something." His father spoke up, his voice was deep. Arthur fidgeted uneasily, before pulling Riley over.
"Mum, Dad, You remember Riley?" He asked, and his mother nodded. "Well...um..we're engaged."

I was silent when Arthur introduced me to his parents. It'd been a tence few hours, filled with broken conversation and akward silences. We all knew that we were to face his parents and when there was a knock on the door my heart froze. Meeting his parents suddenly seemed like a horrible idea. And now here I stood, trying to look a little less pathetic than I all ready was. Bunny mewed impatiantly in my hands, wanting to be set down, but I ignored him.
"Yeah, I'm Riley, it's nice to meet you" I muttered, looking at my feet, a little embarrassed now.

"The pregnant one. You get the little monster removed?" Arthur's dad growled, making Arthur frown.
"Hey. Don't talk to her like that." Arthur huffed back, his father's hand twitched. Arthur's mom narrowed her eyes at Riley, then at the cat, then at Alfred, then back to Arthur.

I let loose a grin, something I only did when extremly and utterly pissed off.
"Mhm, I did get rid of the living thing, it died, someone kneed me in the stomach and the little guy's head slammed against my spine" I said with dark humor "Good thing too, it was making me chubby and hormonol" I added, still extremly pissed, but hiding it with a horrible, and dark scense of humor.

Arthur looked back at Riley, like she was crazy.
"Riley what the he**!? I thought.." He began, raising an eyebrow at him. Arthur's father glared evilly at Riley, before grabbing Arthur's arm and dragging him upstairs.

My grinn twisted up a bit more Great, you ruined everything you filthy wh*re! I scolded myself, looking after Arthur and his dad. My grin remained, a new form of being pissed off still plastered on my face. I looked at his mom, who was glaring daggers at me and shrugged a bit.
"Oh! How rude of me! Would you like anythnig to eat or drink?" I asked, my temper going away slowly.

"Made by you? No thank you. Im sure Arthur has some..water." The woman spat, walking proudly past Riley. There was a bit of a noise coming from upstair, a scuffle and Arthur and his dad returned. Arthur's eyes showed fear, and something else, pain. In his father's eyes was proud, and hatred, as he walked over to his wife.
"Come on, We're leaving." He said, and with that, the couple left.

I cursed "Wait!" I called, before they could leave "Hey, look I'm sorry that I snapped like that, it's just the me loosing the baby is still a touchy subject. Yeah, I know, I shouldn't have said that, And I'm sorry, please give me another chance!" I begged, standing infront of the door, blocking their exite.

Fury flashed in Mr. Kirkland's eyes, and he raised is hand, as if to hit her, before Arthur yanked his father's arm.
"If you hit her i swear to god i'll-" He growled, before his father's hand smacked him clear across the face.
"We. are. LEAVING." He snarled, storming out the door, his wife trailing behind him.
