Rue shook her head, just as clueless about it as Setsuko.

Setsuko sighed. "I think it might be a hint, though. I just can't figure out how." She shook her head sadly. After a moment's silence, she noticed the empty feeling in her stomach. "We should probably eat now," She said.

"Okay. We still haven't eaten thosee squirrels," Rue said. She went and got them, then came back, the small bodies dangling limply from her grip

Setsuko stood up. "Alright. Let's get a fire going." She stepped outside the cabin. Misty morning air greeted her as she searched for the extra wood from yesterday.

Rue went over to where the wood was, laying the squirrels down beside her as she began to set it up.

Setsuko grabbed two sticks and scraped off the bark. "Here you go," She said, offering one to Rue.

"Thanks," Rue smiled, taking them. She layed them on her lap, now scraping two rocks together, trying to create a spark. She eventually succeeded, and she fanned it gently, making it glow and spread. Tendrils of smoke began to rise as Rue stuck the squirrels on the stick. She had cleaned and skinned them earlier.

Setsuko copied Rue, and then just sat there in sad silence, watching the squirrels as they slowly cooked.

Rue inspected the squirrel closely after a while. Seeing that it was cooked, she took it off the dancing flames, blowing on it gently.

Setsuko left hers in the fire for a moment, before realizing that it was done and close to burning. She pulled it out quickly and waited for it to cool, not bothering to blow on it.

Rue blew on it again before taking a tentative bite. She gasped slightly as it burned her, and she swallowed quickly.

Setsuko just stared nonchalantly at hers, not making any motion to eat. Jaci padded over and mewled. Setsuko broke off a part and handed it to him. She sat quietly and watched Jaci eat his little piece.

"You okay Setsuko?" Rue asked.

"No, I'm not ok!" Setsuko hissed suddenly. "It's my dream, I can't figure it out...I want to go home, Rue, I want to go home more than you can imagine! This very well may have been a hint, and I just don't know what it means!" Her anger turned to sadness as she pushed out the last few words.

Rue was surprised by Setsuko's emotion filled out-burst. "You'll go home, I promise," she said, trying to comfort her.
