Ana smiled, wagging her tail. "Well I hope we have a great time here!"
"She's probably still sleeping, she was busy last knight making sure everyone was safe, she always does during a nasty storm."
Balto nodded. "Well we'd better do a complete check."

"I;m sure you will," Scout said with a smile. "We have a whole pack to keep us company for the next few days."
"Should we wait for her, then?" Maria asked, wanting to go exploring as soon as possible.
"And we will," Canyon said. "We also do after a storm like the one we had last night."

"We'll see dear." said Aleu. "She'll be here soon."
Ana nodded. She rolled on her back so he could scratch her belly.
"Same thing we do back in Nome." said Balto. "Always check that kind of thing."

"Good," Maria said with a smile. "Cause I really want to see this island in the day time."
Scout smiled down at her and rubbed her belly with his paw.
"You always have to check the damage after this sort of thing," Canyon said. "Never know how bad it really is."

Aleu licked Maria's head. "I know." she said. "And you will."
Ana wagged her tail and panted happily. She liked it.
"Good point." said Balto. "That's always true." he said. "But its rarely as bad as your fears tell you it will be."

"I know," Maria said happily. "And I'll wait for Aurora to wake up."
Scout smiled down at his granddaughter, glad to see her happy.
"Which is good in a way," Canyon said. "I would hate it if all my fears came true."

Aleu nodded. "I agree...I'm glad everyone came, I missed you call so much."
Ana licked her grandfather's nose. She cuddled up to him to keep warm. "Think your kids are doing good with Sable?"
"I know." said Balto. "Though its good to have fear, without it, we'd do a lot of foolish things." he said. "And you couldn't be brave if you didn't have fear."

"We all missed you alot too," Maria agreed.
"I think my kids are doing just fine with Sable," Scout said.
"I guess that makes sense," Canyon said. "Fear is hard to live with sometimes though."

Aleu nuzzled her sister. "I know." she said. "But watch out for porcupines today."
Ana nodded. "Sable is really nice." she said. "And your kids are too."
Balto nodded. "Same with all emotions, it varies from useful to annoying with them all."

"Don't worry," Maria said. "I'll be extra careful today."
"Yes, they all are," Scout said. "And I;m sure they're having plenty of fun at Sable's."
Canyon shrugged. "There is some truth to that. Lots, actually."

Aurora pulled a dead deer into the cave. "I brought you guys breakfast."
"Thanks Aurora, that's very nice of you!" said Aleu. "Everyone hungry?"

Ana's stomach growled. "I'm hungry!" she said, running over.
"I could use some food." said Balto, getting up.

"Me too!" Maria said, running with Ana.
Scout chuckled at the twins and walked up behind them.

"Alright, pups first." said Aleu.
"We're not exactly pups anymore." said Ana but started eating reguardless.
Balto set next to his father. "So what do you think of Aleu's mate?"
