Tiga nodded, smiling. "Yeah, she is." she said. "I haven't met her often, only in town once or twice, but Kodi told me a lot about them..."
Dusty nodded. "I'm glad to meet your pups for real though, they're adorable."
Titan walked off, heading towards the foest, figuring Katie had gone that way.
Katie nodded. "Well on the bright side, you washed the blood off." said Lenatei.

Bashkei nodded, giving a chuckle. He couldn't believe his daughter was going into a town!
"They are," said Kodi proudly, smiling fondly at them.
Mammoth took a roundabout route, trying to attack them from behind.
Katie nodded, closing her eyes softly. "Yea." she said, continuing to walk. She tried to keep her thoughts positive.

"Please!" Bashkei said in shock in disbelief "My heart is not as young as it used to be!!" he sighs softly, his heart straining and aching. Humans knew she was a wolf?! Had she been gallivanting carelessly?! Bashkei closed his eyes, pained.
Kodi nodded, looking both proud and sad.
"Thanks," Katie said, eyes pained "As if I'm not worrying enough."

"It wasn't her fault." said Tiga. "We had this terrible disease outbreak, wolves and purebred dogs caught it, hybrids were immune." she said. "And my mom, for reasons no one knows." she said. "Katie got very sick, if it weren't for those vets, she'd have died." she said. "Your grandkids, Kodi, Balto, Fang, and Jenna had to go on a long trip to get the antidote to heal everyone, they saved most of the dogs in Nome."
Dusty nodded. "But stubborn, like you."
"But they're also strong." said Lenatei.

Kodi looked at Dusty with an evil smirk. " Oh, I'll show you stubborn..."
Katie nodded with a proud smile. Her chest puffed out as she thought of her pups.

Bashkei nodded, smiling slightly. "I thought I was too...but, when I saw that man come close to my daughter and her family-it was the best way I know how to make up for how i treated your brother."
Kodi laughed, nodding. "Stubborn is a gross understatement."
Katie nodded, giving a light shudder at the thoughts...it hadn't been long, but the torture made it seem like forever.

Bashkei sighed softly, looking rather embarrassed. "Your brother and I didn't exactly hit it off. I was narrow minded, and stubborn as anything. I wanted to kill him more than anything, really, for turning my daughter." he sighed again, looking forlorn. "But that cost me a great deal more...I was unable to think about looking my daughter in the eyes, and for a whole year, i couldn't know such wonderful grandchildren."
Kodi laughed, nodding. "He always seems to find a way to make that his excuse."
"It..." Katie stuttered, looking down at the snow covered ground. "It may not. I might have a reminder..." she said at last, having to share it with someone. "This would be the time of year...well, you know...and it hasn't happened. It hasn't for about two weeks."

Tai's eyes widened, and a pain shot through her head. She stopped stiffly in her tracks. "Lena..." she whispered, staring at the ground. Fear overtook her as the figure following them before approached at a rapid pace. "It's back..."
