Heather nodded, and looked around for the doctor.

Atticus let one oh her hands go and ran his hand through his hair.


Nate was about to haul himself through the window, when someone grabbed him by the shirt and jerked him to the ground. "What do you thin you're doing!" A man, around thirty five, asked hauling him up, a few inches from the ground.

"Whoa!.. You're tall.." Nate blinked.

The man snorted and started to drag him inside. "Worthless little thief, I'm calling the police!" the man snapped.

"Oh Crap..." Nate sighed. Nate was pulled into the huge house, he found out this guy had a family... by pictures that sat around.

Heather found the doctor, but after begging and begging, he wouldn't let her stay.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am. We don't allow guests to stay in the ICU." was what the docter told Heather.

(( They call Heather about Nate, considering she's his legal guardian, and then she finds out that the house he was stealing from was his mother and father's house x3 ))

Heather's shoulders slumped. "I'll be back first thing tomorrow." She told Atticus.

Atticus nodded in reply.


"What's your father's number?" the older man asked bitterly.

"Beats me."

"Your mother's?"

"She's not my Mom." Nate retorted, earning a glare from the man, and Nate blurted out Heather's number, then the man dialed the phone.

Heather kissed his forehead and then walked outside. The air was bitterly cold and she wrapped her tan jacket around herself a little tighter. Suddenly her phone buzzed, she fished it from her pocket and pressed the thing to her ear.
"Hello?" She asked.

"Hello." the man greeted boredly, still holding Nate's arm. "Are you..." he paused and looked at Nate.

"Nate Smith." the boy replied.

"Nate Smith's mother?-"

"She's not my mom!" Nate snapped, but was ignored.

"Try legal guardian." Heather corrected. Her face got serious and she pressed the phone harder against her ear, "Why, what'd he get into?" She asked nervously.

"Nothing serious, the boy was just trying to sneak into our house." the man huffed.

Heather huffed and ran her hand over her face, "Okay, um, what's your address, I'll swing by and get him." Heather said gently, trying to contain her anger towards Nate.

"We live on, Rodane Blvrd. House 1435." the man said, more kindly then how he had spoken to Nate.

Heather wavered when she heard the address, that was her address when she was younger, "...Dad?" She asked, "Dad, it's Heather..." She muttered.

The man blinked slowly, he let go of Nate. Instead of escaping the boy looked at the man curiously "... Heather?..." he asked softly, as of he couldn't believe he was speaking to his daughter.

"Oh God Dad, I'm so sorry! I'll be there in a second, I just need to catch a taxi. You won't believe the day I've been having." Heather scoffed sadly, she stuffed herself into a taxi, still on the phone.
