"Hey Adam! Wait do you wanna like..hang here? I know you and Scotty skip all the time.." Sydney offered. "I gotta bunch of scotty's stuff we can go through!"

He wasn't sure why she wanted him to stay, he didn't even know what to say, since he was use to hanging out with Scotty all the time, but his reply was "Sure I'll hang here the rest of the day..."

Sydney, seeing his awkwardness, said "You don't have to if you don't want to! I know you like hanging out with Scotty and all..."

Now Adam felt bad and quickly corrected "No, no, it's cool! I don't mind hangin' out here, I-I need to wait on Scotty and Leann anyways, we're all goin' out to Cannon Cliffs later tonight, once I get my car back... you think you could come?" he asked without thinking.

"Oh.." Sydney said, thinking he was only going to stay until the end of school.
"Well..I don't wanna ruin you guys' trip.."

"Well it's more like a date for Scotty and Leann, I'm just tagging along cause my baseball game was canceled." he replied sheepishly.

"Oh..well I guess I'll tag along then.." Sydney said, opening the door and holding it for Adam.

Adam strolled on in, to be greeted by a sleepy Rusty, who lifted his head and blinked curiusly at the teenagers. "Meow?" he yawned.

Sydney scratched Rusty's back before turning to Adam.
"So..whadd'ya wanna do?"

"ummm..." he shrugged, sheepishly and reply.

"Meow...." Rusty sounded, with annoyance.

"We could play cards, watch a movie, umm..go to the mall, go play soccer or something..?" Sydney offered up suggestions.

"Soccer?" he asked tilting his head "I didn't know you liked soccer." Before he became captain of the baseball team, he had played for the school soccer team, but budget cuts had made the school cut off the team and so Adam had to settle for baseball.

Sydney shrugged.
"I played up until I was like ten, then I quit." She explained.

Adam nodded "So wanna play, then?" he asked with a small smile, while sitting his backpack down on the floor.

"Sure but I haven't played in a while so I might not me so good!" Sydney said with a laugh, opening the hall closet and pullin out a soccer ball and walking out side.

A few hours later..

"Haha! I was this close to beating you?" Sydney huffed, holdin the soccer ball against her sidez
