Canyon yawned himself awake. He slowly got off the floor of the cave and looked around at the sleeping forms. He trotted outside to see the damage of the storm. He only made it a few steps before he sat down and looked at the branches strewn across the ground.
Maria blinked her eyes as she slowly woke up. She smiled sleepliy at Aleu and jumped on her, without much momentum since she was still half asleep. "Aleu," she said titedly. "It's morning."

"Well, there's plently of branches and leaves, but we expected that," Canyon said. "I haven't checked out the whole of the damage yet, but I;m sure we have a few trees down."

Kodi woke at the sound of paws coming toward him. He glanced up at Canyon, who stopped, nodded, and walked to Scout and Balto instead. Kodi gently nudged Ana. "Ana, it's moirning," he said. "Time to get up,"
"I slept just fine," Maria said. "It felt nice and safe in the cave last night."

Balto was fast asleep, dreaming of what his sister would be like.
"Good." said Aleu. "If I'd know we'd have guests, I'd have put straw down though."

"I love you too," Maria said with a bright smile.
Canyon nodded, not sure what to saw to a wolf he barely knew. "I think we'll be going out in a bit."

"I guess we're gonna find out," Maria said, looking out too. "Is Aurora ready to take us?"
"Not as bad as it could've been," Canyon said. "But it's still pretty damaged."
