Charlie took a step back giving Nika some much needer personal space. "I guess you are right. You are right here." Charlie was able to manage to crack a little smile, "It is hard to be proud of my past."

Zero was silent, staring at the floor.

"Get away Zero! Go!"
"You have to escape, don't let them catch you! Run!"

The short memory flashed through his mind and he shut his eyes. He hadn't remembered it before, but it slowly came back, bit by bit.

Zero was silent a bit longer. "... It was back when I was younger... A few weeks out of being a pup. I was a stray at the time. Me, my parents, my siblings all lived on the streets. All my siblings and I were playing tag in an alley. Our parents were watching us to make sure we stayed close... Then... they came out of nowhere and started catching us. Everyone struggled to escape. I managed to struggle out of the guys hand who had me. My parents told me to run... My siblings wanted me to help them, but there was to many for me to fight... And I was to young... I had no choice but to run and leave them behind. I never saw them again. A few weeks later I was adopted as a pet after I was found wandering the streets alone." Zero shook his head slowly, as if trying to repress it again.

"I honestly don't know... In fact I don't even know what those people did with them... They could have killed them when I escaped for all I know..." Zero said, holding back the tears in his eyes.

Mishka nuzzled Zero sweetly "Oh Zero, I'm so sorry that happened, I guess we all have bad history." She said, looking at him.

Nika looked at Mishka "Mishka, what about youWhats your bad past?" Mishka looked over to Nika and looked down "Okay, I will." Mishka sat up and began to tell her story.

Mishka looked down "To make it fair, I'll tell my story, its not as bad as Nika's tho." The husky looked up "When I was four months old my father left us, he just left.Mom was sick, and dad had found a new mate and left my siblings and I there, alone, with our ill mother who couldn't even stand." Mishka snarled quietly as if her father was there infront of her."Soon mother went hunting and never came back, we never looked for her, we knew what had happened.So we went on with our lives, staying together and moving to new towns atleast twice a month since my brothers Sythe and Scythe were always getting in trouble and my sister Lexie was a fame love,r so we were always moving about for different reasons.The only friends I had were my family, we were ever apart and loved eachother deeply, we were best friends until Scythe got hit by that evil car, after he died nohing was ever the same." She looked down, remembered the feel of her brother's warm blood splattered across her face "He was our pack leader, and I was second in charge, so I had to take over the family role as leader and it was hard, and day by day we either were stolen by humans or killed off." She looked up and sighed, remembered the simpler days when they were a real family, mother, father, brothers, and sisters.

"The important thing is we're all here I guess..." Zero said, smiling a bit. It was a kind of sad smile, but a smile nonetheless.

Nika nodded aong with Mishka to Zero's words "So are we the only dogs here with the bad pasts?" She asked as she rolled onher back, fidgeting with her back paws that were up in the air.

"Dark voids are necessary in a heart. It gives someone the opportunity to fill them... and for you to theirs." Zero said, opening his eyes. Luckily they were less swollen so he could see more clearly.

"I hear ya Roll... I hear ya..."
