Toby: Let's say you had a job as a sled dog and your team was assigned to a long days work that carried well into the hours of the night and by around 10:00 p.m. there's almost no work left to be done, but you can't go home yet for another forty five minutes. At the same time, all that work has left you with a bad rash in your posterior region and it hurts you to be moving around too much. Do you drag your feet for the next forty five minutes until work lets out?
Pete: Let's say you're walking down the street and you see a man or woman slip on the ice and land on their kiester, do you laugh or feel concerned?
Terry: It seems that alot of good has come out of the death of Yukon. I know that you loved him and that it pains you that he died, but are you ever glad that he did because otherwise you'd have never had Toby and his sibilings and all the rest of these adventures?

At the same time, all that work has left you with a bad rash in your posterior region and it hurts you to be moving around too much. Do you drag your feet for the next forty five minutes until work lets out? Toby: I've got to say that's one of the more unusual questions I've been asked. In the first place, there's nothing to do once we get back to "base," as Kodi calls it-you know, where the sled and stuff are kept. And that's not on such a tight schedule, except as it pertains to the post office schedule. So we don't generally have a "can't-go-home-yet-for-forty-five-minutes" deal. Second, I don't think the harnesses have ever given any dog rashes as far as I know-although I could see almost anything happening to Ralph. But I can't really picture your scenario happening for real. If it did, though, I'd probably do my best to get the job done ASAP, kind of like my dad always finds people faster the colder it is because he wants to get out of the snow as quickly as possible. Of Wolfdog And Man wrote: Pete: Let's say you're walking down the street and you see a man or woman slip on the ice and land on their kiester, do you laugh or feel concerned? Pete: Eh, I might get kinda stuck between the two. But I'd be more likely to be worried these days, I guess. Terry: Glad, no. Not about Yukon dying. I am glad Toby and the others were born, and I'm glad every day that I met Rex, but I do still miss Yukon, even though it's not quite as bad as it first was. I've heard the humans speak of "giving thanks in all circumstances." I think that best describes how I feel about it. Glad, no. But thankful, by choice, because I can do nothing else than bear up under it at this point.

Lone Grey Wolf wrote: Toby: Do you have a favourite pup, or do you love them all the same? Toby: I love them all the same, although I plead guilty to paying more attention to the boys sometimes. Luna: That's because you have no idea what to do with the girls. Lone Grey Wolf wrote: Arrow: Who do you want to be like when you grow up? Arrow: Well, I've toyed with a few ideas. Maybe a sled dog. And helping Mom and Dad with my brothers and sisters makes me think being a mom might be nice. Luna: Not too soon, I hope. Lone Grey Wolf wrote: Terra (if I got her name wrong then sorry, it's been a few months since I last read ANY Toby series fanfics, lol, I used to read them daily because they were so cool): Why were you afraid of rats? I understand that you must've been pretty freaked out when Toby showed you a dead rat when you were pups, but are there any other reasons you were afraid of them? Terra: It's kind of a girl thing, except some of us have it and some don't. Me, I just get really creeped out by things that skitter around on the floor.

Toby: Picture yourself in a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies. Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly, a girl with kaleidoscope eyes. What would you think of this situation?
Pete: In the past you were somewhat disdainful of even your full-siblings, calling one of your brothers a big sissy because he is a housepet. How has your relationship changed with your full-siblings now?
Rex: Because of it's close proximity to Nome, does the police force have good relations with some police dogs in the USSR as a sort of bridge between the nations. If so would you welcome such union?

For one thing, sea travel is not especially wise in such cold waters just for a meet-and-greet. Our duties are local, not abroad.

Just another user wrote: heres on for toby and Luna: What did you think of Caspar, Melchior, and belthazzar's names when you first heard them? Toby: Luna's family doesn't do as much reading or singing as mine, and particularly as Charlie, so I had to explain it to her before she understood completely. Luna: But I liked the names even before I knew the story behind them. Caspar, Belthazzar, Melchior... they all sounded so exotic, so unique. Just hearing them then made me think of far-away places and long-ago times. And when Toby explained to me about the meaning behind them, I was touched. I know those stories are important to him, and it really mean a lot to me that he would think of them in regard to my babies.

Toby: Humans occasionally perform a strange European dance called a Polka. Have you ever seen such an oddity?
Luna: Do you consider your grandfather, Steele, to be pure evil or just 75-90% evil?
Pete: What's your training program like? What time do get up to excercise and what time do you stop, and what's your routine?
Rex: I know that Nome was once a mining town, especially for gold. Do you ever have to inspect old abandoned mines just incase anyone tries going down them or something like that?

This is a question for Toby, how did you feel when Luna first said she like you? and another question for Luna, how did you feel when there were rumors about Toby was cheating on you? and now one for Loki, any chance you'll be back in any of Toby and Luna's adventures?
God bless, Crocluva95

For DT: is Balto and the dogs of his generation still alive during your new series with Toby's pups? I figure Captain Orde would have bitten the dust already, but I was curious if Ewan, Comet and Balto himself would still be around to see Toby's kids.
Kasper: (Sorry if I didn't spell that right!) Out of all the stories that Toby tells you of his past, what one is your absolute favorite?
Arrow: Now that the pups are a bit bigger, do you like being a big sister more, or is it a bigger hassle than you thought it would be?

Melchior: why did you want to go look for the rats at the old mill?

I'm not sure if I'd recognizeit if I saw it, though. Of Wolfdog And Man wrote: Luna: Do you consider your grandfather, Steele, to be pure evil or just 75-90% evil? Luna: If there is any good in him, I doubt any of us could reach it. Especially since he's sure to be dead of old age by now. Of Wolfdog And Man wrote: Pete: What's your training program like? What time do get up to excercise and what time do you stop, and what's your routine? Pete: Mostly running excercises in the morning before breakfast, and sometimes before my other meals too. But my owner prefers me as a hunting dog, so it's more to stay in shape than to be a sled dog. Still, ya never know. Of Wolfdog And Man wrote: Rex: I know that Nome was once a mining town, especially for gold. Do you ever have to inspect old abandoned mines just incase anyone tries going down them or something like that? Rex: Yes, quite often actually. We especially have problems with kids trying to explore old shafts in case someone left gold behind. They think they're going to strike it rich, but usually they come close to striking it dead. Captain Talon wrote: Toby and Luna: Any hints you can give about your next adventures Toby: Well, unless you're referring to "The Desire," which is now up, not really. Luna: But they'll all involve our pups. Crocluva95 wrote: This is a question for Toby, how did you feel when Luna first said she like you? and another question for Luna, how did you feel when there were rumors about Toby was cheating on you? and now one for Loki, any chance you'll be back in any of Toby and Luna's adventures?

P.S. Tell the puppies and DragonTamer I said Hi Toby: Like it says in the story, I was blown away. Hearing that from my best friend scared me out of my wits. Luna: And how do you think I felt when you ran off? Toby: Hey, I said I was sorry. Luna: (nuzzling Toby) Yeah, I know. And I forgive you. Speaking of forgiveness, Crocluva, again, itsays in the story. At first I was mad that my sisters would even think such a thing. It was the first time in my life I actually wanted to hurt them. Then when I started to think it was true, I was worried and upset. Toby means... he means everything to me. Losing him in any sense would be worse than dying myself. Loki: I might be. You never know. Toby: [under his breath] Heaven help us if he does come back. Luna: Toby! Kelev wrote: For DT: is Balto and the dogs of his generation still alive during your new series with Toby's pups? I figure Captain Orde would have bitten the dust already, but I was curious if Ewan, Comet and Balto himself would still be around to see Toby's kids. Dragon Tamer: Well, probably some of the younger dogs who knew Balto would still be around. Certainly his and Jenna's pups. So I guess it's a question of how old Ewan and Comet are relative to them. As for Balto, it's possible. I never much cared for stories about Balto dying, to say nothing of their poor pblic approval, so I decided to leave the question open-ended as to whether he's still around or not. But I doubt he'd be doing much at that age. Kelev wrote: Kasper: (Sorry if I didn't spell that right!) Out of all the stories that Toby tells you of his past, what one is your absolute favorite? Caspar: I like hearing about the ones when he was my age. It's fun to think of those because they show that even someone as little as me can do big stuff. Toby: Just don't go getting any big ideas. Caspar: But Grandpa always says you should learn from stories, right? Toby: [under his breath] One of these days I am going to have a very long talk with my dad. Luna: I'm betting three to one he wins. Kelev wrote: Arrow: Now that the pups are a bit bigger, do you like being a big sister more, or is it a bigger hassle than you thought it would be? Arrow: It's kind of fun. I like being the big girl for a change. On the streets, and even with Toby and Luna, I was always the littlest. Now that I'm getting older, I like to be around dogs who notice it. Toby: Believe me, we're noticing. Just another user wrote: Melchior: why did you want to go look for the rats at the old mill? Melchior: Caspar made it sound fun.

Toby: I know that Nome is a very ethnically mixed town. I want to know have you ever met someone from the Soviet Union, wether they be a supporter or dissedent of communism, and what is your stance on the matter?
Pete: What's the scariest animal you've ever seen while hunting?
Rex: You lived in the continental United States for a time, so I want to know, did you ever see one of those amazing things called a "movie?"
Terry: Do you hope that your children will all outlive you?
