"It's nice to meet you, Alika!" Kella said as she and Kani followed Maliha.
Kani looked at Alika. "What do you mean, Alika?"

Alika hung back with Kani and Kella as Maliha went to lead the way out in front.
"Well, it was as I was heading to Kabili's cave when I heard some of the cubs crying for help. I started to change direction, but then I saw Moto and Asali going to the same place."
Alika looked down at her paws, a bit embarrassed by what she was going to reveal to Kella and Kani.
"I'm not a very good fighter or hunter; I tend to run away at any sign of danger, so I waited for a bit until the voices were gone. If Moto or Asali started calling for help, I would've gone in, but I was too scared. I bet Maliha would've gone straight in," Alika said, looking at her sister in the lead. She sometimes wished she had her sister's bravery.

"I hope they are all okay," Kani said.

"I would have done the same thing, Alika," Kella said rather quietly. "I also get scared. One of the reasons why I left my pride was because I feared my mother. But there is nothing wrong with being scared."

"We're here!" called Maliha from the front. Everyone behind her crept up and peered over the edge to a river.
"I don't remember it being this way," said Alika.
"The Outlands is just the other side of the river. Of course, it looks a lot nicer now than it did in the past," said Maliha. "In the past it was all dry and filled with termites, but as you can see there is life there now. It's what happens when evil leaves."
"If you say so..."
"Now, follow me further up the banks. There's a fallen tree that acts as a bridge just up here."
Alika watched as Maliha set off again, and she hung behind with the others.
"Kella, tell me more about where you've come from. I'd love to here about the distant lands."

"Well, it's pretty far from here. It's lead by my parents. My mother was a horrible lioness who always upset my father. My father was a great ruler. He was the only one in the pride who actually liked me. My twin brother ignored me most of the time, he preffered to be with my mother. We lived in a small mountain with lots of caves in it. It was surrounded by acacia trees."

Kani walked closer too Maliha. He didn't exactly want to hear about his old home. "It's quite hard to believe this place used to be so dry," He said as he looked around.

'Arghhh! That should not have happened!!!' Dhukiya shouted, as she walked in through the outlands. 'We should have been more careful!'

'But Dhukiya, it just happened what had to happen. Now, we need a better plan...' Damu replied.

At this, Dhukiya looked back at Damu and Bandia. 'YOU!' She pointed at Damu, then at Bandia. 'It was all your fault! You guys were not careful, and for that, the stupid pridelanders are alert!'

'What!? Dhukiya, that's not fair! You were involved, too!' Damu exclaimed.

'Shut up! Now what we need is, some more members! But you two fools, can't even find anybody!' Dhukiya shouted.

"Darling, we've done our best," Bandia said. "Where are we even supposed to find someone who would actually agree to help us? Why don't you look for someone?"

"I know," said Maliha. "But it just goes to show how life can spring up from even the darkest of places."

"It sounds like a lovely place," said Alika, looking far off into the distance. "Really lovely..."
Alika heard a growl far off in the distance.
"What was that?"

'Well, one thing for sure. We can't plan ahead unless we get some more members.' Said Dhukiya. 'Well, now, Damu, go get a zebra for us.'

'Okay...' Replied Damu and he went instantly. In a minute, when he was looking for a zebra, he saw three lions.
'Pridelanders!!!' He yelled. And in a second, he gave them a ferocious look.

'Did u hear something Bandia? I mean, I think I heard Damu.' Said Dhukiya.

"Who could he be talking to?" Bandia asked. "Do you think we should go see?"

"Uh, Maliha, did you hear something?" Kani asked. "I'm sure I heard a voice."

"I think I heard it, too," Kella said.

'Pridelanders! I see them!' Damu shouted to the direction where Dhukiya and Bandia were. 'Hey guys, come quick! This is gonna be fun!'

'Ahh, I again hear him Bandia!' Said Dhukiya. 'Lets go! Maybe he found a zebra!'

She rushed there. But when she saw no food, she shouted, 'What is it Damu? Why were you shouting for no reason?'

'Shhh!' Damu warned. 'Look at there! I think they are pridelanders!'

'Hmm' Dhukiya smiled as she saw them. 'They are three of them here! So, what should we do?'

'Attack them! This is the great opportunity!' Damu said.

'Hmm, no! I don't want to attack them for no reason.' Dhukiya said and thought for a second. Then she smiled and said, 'How about if we capture them and keep them to us? When the Lion Guard hears this, he will come!'

'That's a great idea! What do you think, Bandia?' Damu laughed.

"Well, at least we actually have a plan now," Bandia said and then smiled. "Yes, darlings, let's! But we must be careful this time."

'Hmm, great! Lets go! But be careful. Guys, go from different directions!' Dhukiya smirked. 'When the Lion Guard arrives...' She said and chuckled again. Then they slowly began to approach.

"Sister, there's someone out there!"
"Shh, Alika, I'm trying to listen."
Maliha stood listening on the edge of the crossing log.
"Nope, I can't hear anything, let's cross into the Outlands."
"I don't think that's a very good idea."
"Stop being so scared of everything Alika!" said Maliha, angrily. "You need to learn to have fun."
With that, Maliha started across the fallen tree trunk bridge to the other side.
"Kella, Kani, you can either come with me, or stay with her. You choose."

'One is coming towards here, Dhukiya!' Said Damu. 'But what about the others?'

'Shh! Quite!' Dhukiya warned. 'Just wait and see! Don't get too excited!'
