Ashling nodded wearily. "I don't really think that there's much we can do. None of tge dragons seem to like having a murderer in their midst, and really... how d'you fix that?"

"There." Saga sat back. "Finished. And this time," she added sternly, "Stay in bed."

"I will," hiccup replied wearily.

"We cant have the dragons solve the problem for themselves without someone," Nova broke off to cough, of which sounded an awful like 'Hiccup', "freaking out. So that means we have to help them do this non-violently, which means we need June."

Just then June walked up. "Speak of the devil..." Said Nova. "Hey, uh, I was thinking, I'm sort of sorry for getting so upset bask at Hiccup's house."

Ashling looked away. "It was my fault..." she mumbled. "I asked..." she added, nearly inaudibly.

Nova narrowed her eyes. "Uhh, whats going on here?" She asked cautiously.

Ashling hesitated, looking at June apologetically. She stared at the ground. "I... asked Hiccup to teach me to dance," she mumbled quietly. "But... It's really not my story to tell..."

why would june get so angry over some dancing? nova wondered, but she didn't dwell on it. "Ok, well, i still have work to do," Nova said, turning back towards the entrance of the blacksmith's. "tell Hiccup to stop by the smithies when he's feeling better." She dissapeared inside.

"Anyway, sorry Ashling. Just to make sure, you weren't trying to do anything.... romantic while dancing, were you?"

Ashling took a shuddering sigh. "No, of course not. But... I won't lie to you, June. I realized that it was possible." she looked up. "That's why I was turned around. I spun away from him to avoid letting myself think about it anymore." she looked very uncertain and even a bit guilty.

"Well, I know how hard it is to keep your hands off him, but it's not his fault he's so attractive..."

An amused smile played at her lips. "It's got more to do with his being my only friend for a long time, really... I mean, he's certainly not bad - but that's not my place to speak." she cut herself off readily. "But... I don't want you to worry. I don't want to try and take him away or any of that dirty stuff - I want him to be happy, no matter who he's with. If that's not me, well... so be it."

"Thanks Ash. You're a true friend." She put her hand on Ashling's shoulder. "You know, Fishlegs is available..." She drifted off waiting for her reaction.

A mortified look temporarily crashed over Ashling. "Ummm, I won't say anything for fear of sounding really rude," she said, smiling weakly. "But I'm glad you understand. ...I'm glad we won't have any problems because of this."

"Nope, no problems. And there are plenty of other cute boys on Berk, I mean, look at Snotlout, he's ugly and he still manages to get some girls to like him..." She blinked an eye playfully.

"Ugh," she groaned. "I've never liked Snotlout in the least. One, he always picked on Hiccup, and said something that really stung if I tried to defend him. But... who d'you mean?" Ashling added curiously.
