Zero glanced at Mishka a moment, wondering if she had suffered anything like that... He then looked around at everyone else and realized he knew nothing about their pasts.

Rollie was speechless for once he just sat there stunned. Even though he didn't have a smile on his face he was as happy as he could ever be. He just sat there and eventually a huge grin came onto his face.

Nika heard talking and walked towards it, she saw the sad expression on their faces and figured they had heard."You heard..didn't you?" She whispered, stepping into the door, Mishka nodded slowly.
Mishka never experianced anything so painfull, yeah her family moved alot but she never even knew lives could be that bad."Nika, I'm sorry that happened to you." Mishka whispered, unsure what words she should say.

Itchy was completely confused by the situation, "Heard what? I want to know too!" Itchy was looking around the silent room for an answer.

"Aww, but I'm not sleepy yet." Said Lucky with a yawn, he finally gave in and headed out the door. He sat down and waited for his 'mother'. Lucky was so happy that he had a new mother, that he'd forgotten all about his past and his previous mother, who had been put down.

Charlie heard his name from the other room. His ears perked up wondering if they were talking about him he put his ear close to the door trying to hear what they were talking about him.

Nika laughed as she heard Charlie's ear toutch the wall, Nika began to retell her story again, her heart twisting and turning at each word, her heart lurching as each tear rolled slowly down her cheek. As she ended her story she was once again staring at the window, laying down, looking lifeless."Did you know that...It was a thunderstorm when I left home?" She whispered again, but this time it was almost to herself. She watched the bright and dangerous lightning crackle and flash bright, the rain streaming down the windows like tears.

Charlie slammed open the door. He was almost in tears, "Oh my God, I can't believe they would actually do that to you." Everyone in the room was stunned at Charlie's sudden appearence. He immediatley rushed over to Nika and tried his best to comfort her. "I feel so bad for you." He patted her on the back in a way that said all is good now and she is now around people that love her for who she is not what she is.

"We all do Charlie..." Zero said, feeling like his heart was being crushed. He tried to look back on his past but it was all a blur.

Zero shrugged. "It's hard to not feel bad... To feel sorry... Knowing what kind of darkness is out there..." He said, sighing sadly.

Nika nuzzled her friends "Its all in the past now, I've walked through the flames and I'm alive...I'll be okay." She remembered herself saying those same words as she left her home so long ago."Oh Charlie, don't cry for me, I'm alive right? And I'm stronger now, and I'm proud of my past and who I am, we all should be." She looked over at Zero "Zero, you seem distant, is there something you want to tell us about your oast?" She asked, not forcing it on him or anything, just sugesting it.
