Goldie smiled and leaned against Cachen softly. "You're welcome."
Bashkei looked back, nodding. There was a light smile. "Your brother's words echo my own thoughts. Then again, he is Katie's son, and I'm her Father. No wonder we feel so attached." he said with a laugh.
Katie chuckled, sighing softly. "I just can't wait to wash off as much of the dried blood as possible." she said, only thinking about sparing Cachen any discomfort.

Bashkei laughed lightly. "I'd be upset if you weren't." he said, giving his granddaughter a wink.
"What can I say?' asked Katie "When I was little, don't you remember?? I always watched you, wanting to know how you'd handle things..." she looked to Lenatei, eyes watering lightly. "I idolized you. I wanted to do just like you did-I wanted a little family of my own."

Goldie laughed gently, shaking her head. "Just because your sister's have such spiritual powers, doesn't mean you should want to change who you are--maybe if you did have a power, you wouldn't be who you are."
"I thought so too." said Bashkei, smiling. "The night you were born, I had finally relented and took your Mother away from the pakc myself. She dug out an old fox den and had you four." he chuckled "we hadn't counted on hunters is all. And he was coming awfully close to you all--what's a Father and Grandfather to do but protect his family?"
Katie smiled, sniffing around. The sulfur smell was getting stronger. "Must be where Tai gets it from...I watched you and everyone so closely." she blushed, thinking back to when she was a yearling. "Too bad I messed up on my first time hunting. I got too excited and scared them off." she huffed, giggling. "Why am I telling you? You probably saw."

"Can you imagine when we're old?" said Goldie giggling up a storm. "All we'll do is taking like this." she gave a wink, making it clear how long she planned to stay with Cachen.
Bashkei blinked, and glanced at balto. "You...didn't know?"
"Glad on of us thinks so." said katie, blushing underneath her fur.

"As long as you're there," Goldie said softly, nuzzling into his fur. "I'll go any adventures that life throws at us."
Bashkei nodded. "When did they tell you?' he asked, remembering all too well how scared his daughter had been of telling him about her pregnancy...although, it was kind of hard to miss.
OOC: It's a touch and go thing. I'm a bit indifferent.
Katie looked down. "I scared them off. Then, when i tried to chase after I tripped in a lemming hole." she said, smiling in embarrassment.

Balto thought. "After that night, about the next day. Until then, Katie had dressed up as a dog a few times and we saw her but didn't know till then she was a wolf."
"The sled team didn't find out for awhile after that." said Dusty, but didn't mention how that had come about.
"Yes, but you didn't get skunked at least." said Lenatei, smiling. "I did on my first hunt."

Goldie couldn't help but laugh, knowing how true it was.
Bashkei nodded, the only memory of his Grandchildren had been their first little noises. Now, he looked at them with more pride than fear of what they would look like.
Kodi blinked. He didn't know his team had found out. "When? How?!" he asked in disbelief.
"Really?" Katie asked, stifling a laugh.

Cachen laughed. "Yeah, but its true, how do we get into these messes?"
Balto nodded. "They're cute, and brave, you have every right to be proud."
"We learned about Katie around Valitines Day," said Dusty, the tone of her voice telling Kodi not to explain that part to Bashkai, since it was when he'd cheated on Katie but got back with her around then. "And we found out about the pups during that whole sirum run thing."
"Yeah...first time I got skunked to, I thought it was something to hunt, I didn't think it'd stink me up so bad." said Lenatei.

Goldie giggled, snuggling up against him happily. "Definitely not bad karma."
Bashkei nodded, looking to each of them with happiness in his eyes. "Each one of them reminds me of someone else." he said "Lena reminds me of my mate, Tai of your son, Cachen of you..." he knew already Kai resembled him and thought with his likeness.
Kodi looked at Dusty, giving her a I'm not stupid, or have a deathwish. "Hm..." he said, partially relived he didn't have to lie or masquerade anymore. Another part of him was angry. "Why didn't you tell me you knew?!"
Katie couldn't help but giggle. "You were just a pup." she said.
