Kyler half-sighed/half-laughed at his reply. "Why wouldn't I?" she said, looking at him as if to say 'You silly goose!' "I mean, being a freak is better than being "ordinary" any day." She took his hand. "Besides, I still loved you when you were ordinary, that's why I want to be with you. You're my best friend since day care all the way up to now, and that's why I'd hate myself if I held you back."

Kyler looked him in the eye and thought, her expression blank for a moment. He needed her, and she needed him. She gave a small smile and a casual blink. "Then I'm with you all the way."

Kyler leaned in to kiss him too, but then she paused and bit her lip when she heard Dymitri. "Coming!" she yelled back to him, then she put a finger to Damien's lips. "Later." she said quietly with a hinting tone.
"Ah, young love." snorted Ellis with crossed arms.
